“All the drug dealers will be forced to use tupperware”

That cracked me up! Oh no! They’ve outlawed the Wonderlier!

I just read in my town their thinking of passing a city ordinance to outlaw selling spray paint to anyone under 18 to crack down on graphiti. I guess they don’t think kids stay in gangs once they hit 18. Yep, that’ll solve it.

Seems like fashion censorship to me. Why would any one want to ban these?

"Why are so many silly people running our governments?"

That's a really good question, one to which I have no answer.

I used little self sealing baggies. From there it was a downward progression to the hard stuff.

Well tinfoil is going to have to be banned also, seeing how dealers sometimes use that to package heroin. The city also banned the sale of spray paint cans in an effort to curb graffiti , a tour of certain areas of the city will tell you how effective that was. I guess it’s just par for the course in Chicago.

Why are so many silly people running our governments?

This is a serious problem. The citizens really need to be actively weeding out the "junk people" from decision-making positions. The question is, "How?".

Chicago had alderman elections in 2007, and they probably hope that, during their next campaigns, in 2011, the the voters will forget about the silly laws that they proposed in 2008.

Ald. Robert Fioretti (2nd) persuaded the Health Committee to ban possession of "self-sealing plastic bags under two inches in either height or width,"

This idiot's brain would fit in a self-sealing plastic bags under two inches in both height and width, with room left over for a copy of every rational thing he's ever said (transcribed into cuneiform).

The voters couldn’t care less, probably because the vast majority can’t speak English.

Tiny plastic bags used to sell small quantities of heroin, crack cocaine, marijuana and other drugs would be banned in Chicago, under a crackdown advanced Tuesday by a City Council committee.

It is like 'stupid' has been trained and armed to fight as a proxy in the WOD alongside its comrades 'Waste' and 'Control'.

Want to win the WOD (I mean, assuming anyone waging the WOD actually cares about the drug problem, and not increasing government control nor increasing government revenue)? Flood the market with tainted narcotics and run some bulldozers along the gutters for a few days. Repeat as necessary.

A quick bath in boiling oil would be a good start... or the old standby, tar, feathers and a rail to ride on. Pity those fell out of fashion!

Why are so many silly people running our governments?

Referring to them as silly is far more charitable than the way I'd describe them.

A clear indication that these people don't have enough to do.

I am confident that a real life massive terrorist attack in middle America is what may be necessary to focus the minds of these politicians.

Obviously the electorate can't or won't do it.

Haven't they "banned" the possession of illegal drugs, and that hasn't stopped drug use? So the bags have to go? That's just STUPID!

Yes, can't control the problem so let's try to contol even more things.

Iodine and solutions of Iodine over 2% are now DEA list one substances. This has been making a big mess in the scientific community. The feds now have their eyes on KMnO4...

I used to use them all the time for organizing the cardboard pieces and counters that came with wargames.

Next thing you know they’ll be banning flour, baking powder, and oregano so they can’t cut drugs. And then matches and lighters, of course. Maybe they’ll ban cars to stop people from driving to get the stuff, too. That’d be the ideal move, there.

As long as the bags don't seal themselves, you're okay, I guess.
