The EIB Network ^ | March 5, 2008 | Rush Limbaugh

AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, Maha-Rushie! America's Anchorman, Truth Detector, and Doctor of Democracy. He is the man who runs America. He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do--That's host. Get ready to what you were born to do--That's listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

Rush Limbaugh has become the John McCain of talk radio.

From the RCP Blogs:

March 5, 2008 Was It Rush?

Posted by TOM BEVAN

I've been doing a number of radio interview this morning and the question keeps popping up: did Rush Limbaugh put Hillary over the top in Texas? Some quick, back-of-the-envelope math based on the exits shows:

- Republicans represented 9% of the electorate in Texas. Out of a total of 2.857 million votes cast, that's roughly 257,000 votes.

- Obama won Republicans more narrowly than usual, 52-47. In vote terms, that translates to roughly 134,000 to 123,000.

- Overall, Clinton won Texas by just under 100,000 votes.

It's a close call, but unless the vast majority of Republicans who voted for Clinton (more than 80%) did so at Rush's suggestion, they probably didn't put Clinton over the top. They may have given her a point or two bump in the end, but it seems unlikely they were the deciding factor for Clinton last night.

It does not matter to me one way or the other if it is Hillary or Obama. It is up to McCain to beat whichever. I’m hoping there are still enough sane people, Dems and Repubs out here to not put either of those Muslim lovers in. (not that McCain is much better but I think he would be on Supreme Court Judges)

I don't know just how much Rush meant to Hillary last night, but I like the idea of having the dims bashing each other. Let's examine the following from http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1980766/posts?page=2,2

"Despite Obama's impressive victories in February, Clinton's comeback is based on sowing political seeds of doubt," said Donna Brazile, a Democratic strategist and one of nearly 800 party leaders known as superdelegates for their ability to determine the nomination. "In order to clinch the nomination, he must anticipate the worst attacks ever."

Consider that a shot across the bow to the Clinton campaign because Brazile — like many other superdelegates — worries that Clinton's only hope for victory is tearing down Obama and dividing the party. Party chairman Howard Dean recently told House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid that he was concerned about the possible impact of a nominating campaign that stretched through the end of the primaries in early June.

Some superdelegates are bracing themselves to intervene on Obama's behalf if necessary.

"If these attacks are contrasts based on policy differences, there is no need to stop the race or halt the debate," Brazile said. "But, if this is more division, more diversion from the issues and more of the same politics of personal destruction, chairman Dean and other should be on standby."

A senior Obama adviser, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Obama's team will respond to Tuesday's results by going negative on Clinton — raising questions about her tax records and the source of donations to the Clinton presidential library, among skeletons in the Clintons' past.

First Republican made Mccain a nominee
Now Republican are helping Clinton become a nominee.

I’m officially no longer a Republican.

I’m not sure this matters. People may support Hill to spite Rush.

“Yeah, but you’re still a drama-queen.”

More ad hominem, did you get an approval from Rush prior do doing that?

Thanks for the ping. Workin’ Lurkin, occassionally postin’.

While I don’t agree with Rush’s strateegery, it looks like perhaps he has regained his voice that his critics have said he lost. :)

Come on and keep your facts to yourself would ya? The hysterics and hyperbole by a few on this site is hilarious, although facts may not matter to them. They think Hillary won something last night. They seem to think the number one seed in the tournament was upset by a 16 seed and it is over. This is like going into the fourth round of a PGA tournament with Tiger having a 9 stroke lead where he started the third round with a 10 stroke lead. dolts.

Obama Hussein scares me a lot more than Hillary. I see a charismatic deception going on. He’s far more dangerous than Hillary is and will be harder to beat.

I think that’s the idea behind el rushbo’s plan to get Hillary elected, because she WILL be easier to beat than the empty suit.

I’m a Kansas gal myself, born and bred. MY dh works for Eli Lilly and plans to retire soon so we can return home (We’re presently in Indy—that is covered in ice and snow). Looking to retire in Lawrence or Overland Park. I bet you love Idaho.

And I’m not trying to pick a fight with the McCain supporters. I plan on voting for him, after a few Margaritas with a combination of pain pills.

This is my McCain voting strategy!
