Another part of Rush’s rationale was that McCain has so far shown himself incapable of attacking Obama, so he was hoping Hillary would continue to do it for us.

Billybob, a constitutional atty. says this would be very difficult-—that by the “rules,” the one who leads in delegates should be able to stack the committees that accept or reject the delegates’ credentials. But the problem is that the Clintons don’t play by the rules, and that if it’s VERY close, they can intimidate enough people so they say, “Whoa! I’m not going to get involved.”

I fully understand "killing the snake" rationale, but the longer these people fight, the better it is for us.

Actually Levin is smarter than Rush ever dreamed of being and far less self-absorbed.
She's being strategic - offering the VP slot to Obama (which he'd never take as long as he's the front runner in delegates) and deflecting some of the pressure from party leaders to drop out by hinting she'd consider a joint ticket.
Obama is a young guy, he doesn't need to hitch to Hillary. he has several potential more runs in him. He doesn't want to dilute his brand with a dose of Clinton. Also, how well would he be treated as Hillary's VP? She'd chain him in the basement with occasional doses of daylight for speeches to the Boise Ladie's Gardening Club.

Hey all! Anyone who voted for Hitlery just to cause mischief had better not blame my non-vote if she wins the presidency.
Why not? He takes calls from all the Obama-ites who think he’s a racist; from the Paulites who think the Jooos are the focus of evil in the world. Frankly, I wish he’d get rid of these callers. I don’t find them entertaining or interesting.
