VANITY: SAVE ME TIME. 'FESS UP TO SUPPORTING HILLARY
FR ^ | 3/5/08 | Self - Vanity

Posted on 03/05/2008 2:45:01 AM PST by gridlock

I am going to need a list of every FReeper who advocated keeping Mrs. Clinton in this race, so I can send each and every one and insulting FReep Mail on the day of her Inaugeration.

Now, I could painstakingly sift through posts, starting with last night's Live Thread, of you could all just save me a lot of time and effort and self-identify on this thread. Come on, own up! You thought this was a good idea 24 hours ago, right?

Keep her in? I plan on voting for her in November! I am NOT voting for another OLD, has been, alleged war hero, who is physically handicapped plus has cancer. The Republican party has done itself in.

I know you are out there. You are in good company. Rush Limbaugh thought it was a good idea too.

Politics ain’t beanbag, but it sure as Hell ain’t Brain Surgery, either. You get too cute, and you get hosed. We got waaaay too cute, and now we’re gonna get the Beast.

Step up and claim credit, FReepers!

If Denver burns down in August and the Democrats willingly commit suicide, I’ll willingly admit I was wrong.

Some people are thinking in terms of who we can beat, but maybe they should be thinking in terms of who would you rather lose to. The Obamination would be disastrous, he is way left of Hillary and dangerously naive to boot.

Besides, what few FReepers may have voted for Hillary in primaries I doubt would make much if any difference.

I didn’t... but I also fail to see how a shift of 15, 9, 8, and -5 (OH, TX, RI, and OH) gives her a “big comeback”... an overall gain of only 27 delegates, bringing her deficit down to “only” 86 (and “only” 130 of the non-superdelegates).

Once again, the MSM is trying to use every story, trick, and idea from 1992, 1996, 2000, and 2004 (for example, becoming the “Comeback Kid” as Bill was labelled) in hopes of handing her the crown... and it’s not working nearly as well as they’d hoped.

I’m pulling for Obama, if only to see her humiliated in defeat, as she so richly deserves, and to show the MSM how ineffective they have become.

(However, I have a heavy bet at work that she will win it all. I’m a closet pessimist that way.)

Well there are some people who keep the better interests of the nation as a whole in mind rather than pursuing some old political vendetta. I would have loved to have seen Hillary lose to one of the last grownups left in the Democratic Party. That didn’t happen. The only thing we’re left with now is McCain vs. Hillary or McCain vs Obama. If you have to support a Democrat, then at least support one who has at something to offer.

he is way left of Hillary and dangerously naive to boot.

Those are the reasons I'd want Obama!! If elected, he'll actually believe his own platitudes, and waste at least his first year pushing for them. The GOP minority would have a FAR easier time opposing those bills in Congress, than opposing the less-obviously-far-Left bills that would be proposed and supported by Hillary and McCain. The mushy Dems, the non-Pelosi types, would be much more likely to be swayed by floods of phone calls and Limbaugh's spotlight, as they were in 1992-4 with HillaryCare, etc. Once the nation sees what a dangerous loon he is, we can have a Conservative Revolution (note: not a Republican Revolution as in 1994) in 2010, and get Congress back. Then he can propose all the inane bumper-sticker mentality ideas he wants. He won't get many significant ones passed, and, God willing, the GOP will get behind an actual Reaganesque limited-govermnent advocate in 2012.

So you’re saying that there is some alternate universe where President Hillary Rodham Clinton is in the best interests of this nation?

But it is so cute.

We have the come-back kid, Johnny.

Now we have the come-back kid, Hillary.

Isn’t it just the greatest thing for the media since sliced bread?

Two come-back kiddies heading to their repective nominations and the general election. Isn’t it exciting!

The cross-overs created these two monsters. The cross-overs resurrected McCain. The cross-overs resurrected Clinton.

Putting Clinton 1 step closer to the White House will probably be a decision many will come to regret, when she takes the oath on January 20, 2009.

Yes, I would much rather have an inexperienced socialist than a professional socialist any day.

Besides, whose face would you rather look at in the papers every day for the next 8 years? Do I even need to mention voice?

Don't let Hillary Derangement Syndrome blind you to the fact that the win in Texas is good for the Republicans. It temporarily stalls the far left messiah's mandate; the longer the Dems drag out the primary, the more mud will be thrown by them at each other, the less time the Dem candidate will have to campaign as the annointed of the party, and the ranting of the far left moonbats will forestall any so-called party unity.

Also consider that if Obama loses, no matter by what margin, it will be blamed on racial discrimination and election fraud. Better for Hillary to take the fall for that than McCain.

By the way, I truly dislike McCain, I intensely dislike Hillary, but I loathe and fear Obama.

Relax!

We have three, not two choices because of the primaries in Texas and Ohio:

1) Chairman Mao/ Stalin - Hillary

2) Pol Pot / Trotsky - Obama

3) FDR - McCain

You would prefer only 2? There is at least the possibility, that the extreme leftists will devour each other and leave the feeble FDR pseudo - republican standing. There is no substantive difference between Obama and Hillary. It is like choosing between forms of being shot at. Do you prefer a shot gun, rifle or pistole? Any way you are dead.

Hey at least Hillry will take the nice packaging off Obama, unlike the media and their guy lord McCain. Obama supporters have no clue nor want a clue who this hypnotic speech giver is.... they hear and see the word ‘change’ and that is enough for them.

With a majority congress, he can do alot of damage to defense funding, far worse than Hillary. The President and whatever nincompoops he appoints to State will be the ones talking to other world leaders, and cooking up Lord knows what.
Don’t underestimate the damage he can do, and don’t overestimate the publics ability to see through him.
