This country does not want to lose a war.

Oh really? What evidence do you have? They seem willing by listening to the morons out there to me.

I also thought McCain made an excellent point tonight about his opponents wanting to force companies to stay here in the US by raising their taxes.

So these companies are better off when McCain attacks "big oil" and "big pharm" like the libs do?

No, my post is right.

This conservative is QUITE PLEASED that the president is going to stand with his party’s nominee.

Oh, the Bush bashers are out in great form tonight. I suspect you’ll be typing away for the next 8 months.

Get your typing skills in order, get your Bush Derangement Syndrome pills ready, it’s going to be a GREAT ride.

McCain 2008

But I do not see how Republicans can win with a candidate so many people distrust.

Don't confuse the numbers here on FR who detest McCain, with the electorate in general.

Obama at least wants secure borders. That’s more than McCain’s put forth.

From Obama’s website:

Create Secure Borders
Obama wants to preserve the integrity of our borders. He supports additional personnel, infrastructure and technology on the border and at our ports of entry.

http://www.barackobama.com/issues/immigration/

Obama’s more conservative than the Republican in the race when it comes to the border.

Hitting home, am I?

Good. Then, I’ll keep it up.

McCain 2008.

Because our military deserves support.

"For me the most important thing is national security."

How's that going on the wide-open border? Think McCain has any interest in fixing that little problem?

I understand what you are saying, but you didn’t answer my question.
And you can complain all you want, and we all know he is not perfect, but now maybe try taking a look at the bigger picture, and what a catastrophe it would be if Obamasma or Hitlery was our President. If nothing else, our military would much rather serve under McCain if that is the choice they have, because at least they can respect him and we need their morale strong.

As the head of the Republican Party it is NOT the President’s place to endorse a candidate before a nominee is selected.

Since McCain is the only one left in the race with sufficient delegates to win it, I'd say he's already been selected.

Good move! However, just so that you know, Ann Coulter started a sub-movement of angry conservatives to the Hillary camp! This is no joke. Even Rush begged Texas cons to vote for Hillary (though that was just to keep Obama from winning the primary/caucus).

Nice dodge, but if you’re gonna hype McCain on national security ... it would be nice if he actually wanted national security on our own borders.

Don’t know if they want a ‘perfect’ conservative candidate, or just a candidate who is more conservative than he is liberal and moderate.

For me the most important thing is national security.

Would that include the security of our own homeland borders, that now resemble a Boston Marathon of endless millions?

Sure what? It would be nice if McCain wanted a secure border? And, no, I will not be voting for Obama or any other liberal.
