We’ve got seven plus more months and so far McCain has done NOTHING to please the conservatives.
Damn, after that flap with the radio guy does McCain just kind of shrug and politely distance himself from the radio guy? Couldn’t McCain just have said “Listen, I might not have emphasized Senator Obama’s middle name but it IS his middle name”? Or to that effect.
Not that McCain doesn’t already have enough problems with radio talk show hosts but first chance he’s out in front of the cameras all putting the guy down and apologizing, his hand eternally reaching across that aisle.
But I’m open to a good VP candidate but one other important thing here...
...I really don’t think McCain has any expectation that conservatives will vote for him. I don’t think he wants us and I don’t think he cares.
Quite simply he thinks he can win without us. And maybe he can, I don’t know.
But for sure McCain’s made no attempt as of yet besides SAY he’s a conservative and he even messed up that.
Oh wait, McCain did get all his blue blood Republican buddies out in front of the cameras all of them telling us to vote for this wonderful even=tempered fellow who does so love reaching across the aisle.
His VP choice is VERY important.
