Well, even dead, he’s a better choice than the ones I’m being offered.

Yeah. when I heard his name I thought he was the guy who took over for Drudge.

I love him. He’s funnier than all get out, loud...just great. The closest to mighty Rush to come along in a while.

He says that we need to let a Dem win, suffer four years of pain, then, like Jimmy Carter before, the Dem will mess things up so bad the country will elect a conservative for the next twenty years.

He calls it “short time pain for long term gain”.

I think he’s right.

History has taught many in this country nothing and they try to avoid the subject entirely in public schools.

I sure remember the gas lines of Carter, NO CHRISTMAS LIGHTS for God’s sake!

Hey, let those without those fond memories live through it for a couple of years.

Ok- IF that’s true- then I want Fred for VP. I’ve argued against that (even though Fred was my 1st choice for POTUS) because he’s no youngster himself. BUT- McC as placeholder for Fred? YESSS!! (Not that I honestly wish harm on McC)

It’s all about judges now, it’s the one thing we support him on over Obillery.

Billy C. is hilarious and thrives on pushing people’s buttons. I’ve listened to him for years on 700 WLW. A lost of what he says is tongue in cheek, yet the amount of people who take it seriously, calling in to curse him, is too funny.

The guy who filled in for Rush today, Mark Davis, reco’d JC Watts for VP. That would be a good choice but not many blacks would be swayed, IMO.

There was another thread earlier today calling for McCain to choose Cheney as his VP.

Cheney’s a great guy, but politically . . . well, sometimes FReepers don’t dwell in the land of reality.

Yes, Bill is a good guy, BUT are you willing, as Bill suggests live with 4 years of Hillary or Obama and then win back conservatives in ‘12. Or does McCain win and conservatism gets set back guaranting a Dem. victory in ‘12?
I know that my pocketbook can’t handle DU’s in the WH. Not now, not ever!

CNN makes a tough call; calls Ohio for McCain. I think this could have safely been done before the polls opened this morning.

Most Republicans MIGHT fall in line although I’d argue it’s not a given.

But you can believe he’s not going to have that hard working Republican base out knocking on doors and I doubt seriously he’s going to get a lot of cash save from his big donors. Which are all probably liberals.

I think that lack of enthusiasm is going to hurt the guy.

And just think, we’ve got seven more months of this guy showing us each and every day how much he hates us!

You just can’t do that any great length of time and get elected.

You can, as I consider McCain believes, win if you pull over so-called moderates, whoever they are, and disenchanted Dems.

But us conservatives who built the Republican party and worked hard to grow it since electing Reagan are effectively disenfranchised.
