I was reading elsewhere that the “corporate suits” have essentially milked talk radio dry with their short-sightedness and greed. Radio stations all over are for sale at bargain prices from what I hear. “Corporatism” is not free-market entrpreneurial capitalism, but some sort of genetically defective bastard child. They don’t know how to do anything useful with any business except wring every last dime out of a good thing, ruin it and sell off the assets. They had already destroyed music radio. This was just the next logical step in their inept predation. We’ll see much more of it, I think.

I agree. Too many here seem to think the greed driven corporate monopoly monstrosity that exists in the United States is some wonderful economic panacea. No. It is the marriage of big government and big business, to the point that soon no one will know where one begins and the other ends
