Zahra Maladan is an educated woman who edits a women's magazine in Lebanon. She is also a mother, who undoubtedly loves her son. She has ambitions for him, but they are different from those of most mothers in the West. She wants her son to become a suicide bomber.
At the recent funeral for the assassinated Hezbollah terrorist Imad Moughnaya -- the mass murderer responsible for killing 241 marines in 1983 and more than 100 women, children and men in Buenos Aires in 1992 and 1994 -- Ms. Maladan was quoted in the New York Times giving the following warning to her son: "if you're not going to follow the steps of the Islamic resistance martyrs, then I don't want you."
Zahra Maladan represents a dramatic shift in the way we must fight to protect our citizens against enemies who are sworn to kill them by killing themselves. The traditional paradigm was that mothers who love their children want them to live in peace, marry and produce grandchildren. Women in general, and mothers in particular, were seen as a counterweight to male belligerence. The picture of the mother weeping as her son is led off to battle -- even a just battle -- has been a constant and powerful image.
Now there is a new image of mothers urging their children to die, and then celebrating the martyrdom of their suicidal sons and daughters by distributing sweets and singing wedding songs

If you work at it long enough and hard enough, you will produce monsters. The UN has been working hard at creating monsters in Southern Lebanon for 40 years. Even they are not so incompetent that they have not finally had some success.
I just wonder if they love death enough to pursue it on their own. Can we somehow infiltrate their culture with a suicidal agenda, make it an honor or something?
But the very wise Sally Field, no doubt representing the thoughts of the Hollywood elites who know everything, said if mothers ran the world there would be no more war.

Alan Dershowitz, the author of this article, is a Harvard law professor and an anti-American leftist. The Democrats(including the Clintons and Obama) and the MSM have been telling us over and over again if we’re only nicer to people who strap bombs to their children and send their children to kill Americans and innocent civilians we can all be friends and everyone will like us. People who strap bombs to their children are called insurgents by the Democrats and the MSM and are described as good people who just want the Americans to leave their country. Now leftist Democrats, like Dershowitz, are finally acknowledging the obvious. But these Democrats continue to attack and disparage our troops and characterize them as killers of innocent women and children.

Did you know that before the palestinians moved in and started the civil war in Lebanon that it was 55% Christian. Now it is estimated to be 35% - 40% Christian.
