Obama Fights False Links to Islam

(AP) -- For Barack Obama, it is an ember that he has doused time and again, only to see it flicker anew: links to Islam fanned by false rumors, innuendo and association.

Obama and his campaign reacted strongly this week when a photo of him in Kenyan tribal garb began spreading on the Internet. And the praise he received Sunday from Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan prompted pointed questions — during Tuesday night's presidential debate and also in a private meeting over the weekend with Jewish leaders in Cleveland.

During the debate, Obama repeated his denunciation of Farrakhan's views, which have included numerous anti-Semitic comments. And, after being pressed, he rejected Farrakhan's support in the presidential race.

The Democratic candidate says repeatedly that he's a Christian who took the oath of office on a family Bible. Yet on the Internet and on talk radio — and in a campaign introduction for John McCain this week — he is often depicted, falsely, as a Muslim with shadowy ties and his middle name, Hussein, is emphasized as a reminder of Iraq's former leader.

"If anyone is still puzzled about the facts, in fact I have never been a Muslim," he told the Jewish leaders in Cleveland, according to a transcript of the private session.

The photo of Obama wearing Kenyan tribal raiments — taken by an Associated Press photographer during his visit in 2006 to the country where his father was born — resurfaced on the Internet amid unsubstantiated claims that it was being circulated by members of Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign. Clinton and her aides said they had nothing to do with it. The Obama campaign accused them of "shameful, offensive fear-mongering."

On Tuesday Republican candidate McCain denounced the introduction he got in Cincinnati that criticized Obama in vivid terms.

And his step father was Islamic - and after attending Islamic school, he went to a Catholic school where, it has been reported, he was registered as a Muslim = and it has also been said that he did attend the Muslim prayer calls -

can't have it both ways - we need to remember that the stated goal of CAIR is to get Muslims in as deep as possible into our gov't = and that in doing so, it is permissible to pretend you are no longer a practicing Muslim = otherwise, you would, by their laws, be considered an apostate - and that's a lot more serious than being an infidel drawing cartoons.

Yet, we see the Muslims embracing him wholeheartedly....and certainly all his African relatives, who are practicing Muslims, embrace him with no reservations...

It's time to err on the side of caution...

His dad was Islamic, and he attended an Islamic school. So I guess he has some links to Islam. He may well have made an authentic change in his beliefs.

So the real question is how far does this deception go.. what do we really know about his allegiances, and those he supports or sympathizes with if we can't trust what he says.

For eg, what was he doing in Kenya campaigning for those who would bring in sharia over the existing government... ie a recognized islamic take over of a another state?

It's not wearing the Kenyan tribal raiments  that make him Muslin....

He was registered under the name Barry Soetoro, serial number 203.   School documents listed Barry Soetoro as an Indonesian citizen and his religion was listed as Islam.
 

According to Tine Hahiyary, one of Obama's teachers and the principal from 1971 through 1989, Barry actively took part in the Islamic religious lessons during his time at the school.  His teacher was named Maimunah and she lived in the Puncak area, the Cianjur Regency.
 

Classmate Rony Amiris describes young Barry as enjoying playing football and marbles and of being a very devout Muslim.  Amir said, "Barry was previously quite religious in Islam.

"We previously often asked him to the prayer room close to the house.  If he was wearing a sarong he looked funny," said Rony.

Amiris now the manager of the Bank Mandiri, Jakarta, recently said, "Barry was previously quite religious in Islam.  His birth father, Barack Hussein Obama was a Muslim economist from Kenya.  Before marrying Ann Dunham, Hussein Obama was married to a woman from Kenya who had seven children.  All the relatives of Barry's father were very devout Muslims"

Rony extrapolates further, that Obama at one point had to change his religion if he ever intended later to run for the office of President of the United States because America would never elect a Muslim to the be President of the United States.

Emirsyah Satar, CEO of Garuda Indonesia, was quoted as saying, "He (Obama) was often in the prayer room wearing a 'sarong', at that time."

"He was quite religious in Islam but only after marrying Michelle, he changed his religion."

On December 22nd, in a small-town café in Pleasantville, Omaha, Obama was asked a question that typically only circulates on the Internet.
 

As he sat down to have a slice of pie with a small group of potential voters and an elderly woman asked him about being Muslim.
 

"I've always been a Christian," the Illinois Democrat responded. "I have never practiced [Islam]."

In his autobiography, "Dreams From My Father," Obama mentions studying the Quran.  His teacher Tine Hahiyary said that she remembered that he had studied "menjaji" (recitation of the Quran)."  Classmate Rony Amiris described Obama as being a very devout Muslim, saying, "Barry was previously quite religious in Islam."  Another classmate, Emirsyah Satar, now the CEO of Garuda Indonesia, was quoted as saying, "He (Obama) was often in the prayer room wearing a 'sarong'.  (See 1971 and 1972, above.)

Yet, on his official campaign website, Obama has posted this statement, "Barack has never been a Muslim or practiced any other faith besides Christianity."

Obama's grandfather was a Muslim.  Obama's father was a Muslim.  Obama's stepfather was a Muslim.  His African relatives are Muslims.  What was he for the 27 years before his alleged conversion if he wasn't a Muslim?

Saying, "I've always been a Christian," is a bold-faced lie.

Here's a question I don't know the answer to--How many half-siblings does Obama have? His father had more than one wife at a time--there's something the media doesn't want us to know. How long do they think they can keep it hidden?

The fact is that Obama was born into the Muslim faith. He may be a Christian now but Muslims believe that one can never leave the faith. If you do then you are an infidel. I have heard some people suggest that an Obama Presidency will make him the target of assassins. I suspect that if that were to occur it would likely be Muslims correcting an infidel.

Your terminology is incorrect. All non-muslims are infidels, Obama turning his back on his father's Islamic faith makes him Apostate is the eye's of Allah.

Deep in my gut alarms have gone off ever since he spoke at the democratic convention.
