Disclosure: I am a McCain supporter that would like the dems to fight through Denver.
First my wife thought Hillary’s make-up job was significantly softer than before-something a guy would miss, but her strategy is to get the women voters back on track.
Also she took the SNL Tina Fey playbook- I thought her snl crack was good- it told the moderators to be careful, also as per Tina Fey , Hillsry emphasized her bitchy ability to get things done.
The only commentator I saw last night to say that Hitlery did well was Andrea Mitchell. Guess what , it was the Andrea Mitchell constituency she was playing for- women,Jews and Catholic reagen democrats. She was not playing to latte libs like Mathews or conservatives like us.
p.s. although I have liked Obama for awhile, and felt that if it were preordained that a dem would win I’d rather have him; his naivete and pro-arab background is starting to worry me.

That should be our focus constantly. With a conservative President, the Congress would be a good ally. With a non-conservative President, the Congress would be a good counter-weight.
