Florida Power & Light is reporting massive power outages throughout South Florida, including Miami, Doral, Westchester, and Pembroke Pines. Reports of outages extended into Palm Beach, an FPL spokeswoman said.
The company said it was investigating the problem.
Seriously, though, anyone heard if there's any word on what caused the outage?
Yeah, but I’d expect the outage to be in JAX, not MIA from a Georgia disruption.
Nuclear reactors don’t usually just ‘trip’.
Trying to ping Robert E. Cook, but his frname is too complicated with punctuation.
Good Book.......
First it was a line down,,,
FOX,,,They are now looking into whether they were HACKED...
Dress rehersal for election day to discredit the electric voting machines.
lol! Don’t be too sure. My sister’s tearing her hair out about the illegal situation. She and her hubby bought property in NW Georgia to move to at some point. Although, I couldn’t quite bring myself to mention to her that Georgia has its own illegals problem. I lived east of Atlanta for a couple of years and the numbers were huge.
Whatever the cause, this certainly is a rich opportunity for all the radical muslims down there.
Power is out in Miami. Our Miami office is closed. I happen to be in our Broward office today, which is fine. I checked with my wife in the western burbs listed — the power went out for a bit then came back on.
Power has been on all day here just south of West Palm
Hackers Threaten Power Grid. FERC Strengthens Security Standards
Now it’s they *scrammed* the nukes, they didn’t trip ‘unexpectedly’.
Bringing nuke reactors back up is a 12+ hour deal.
Whoa...now THAT would be a STORY.
Our local station still saying it’s something unknown at Turkey nuke plant
"Scuttlebutt" (from some pretty informed sources) has it that something has happened at the Turkey Point nuclear power plant and that "something" is somehow connected to the guy who tried to flee police from Miami International airport yesterday, who was found to have five passports on him after he jumped from the upper deck to the lower and busted his arm and some ribs. Pretty sure he's a muzzie.
The spin machine is running at full speed on local tv and says that a huge transformer near the Turkey Point plant was knocked out by a storm. That smells to me. Local transformers in neighborhoods are certainly vulnerable to things like that. It has been windy, but nothing near strong enough to hurt something like that. Near a nuke plant? Big enough to route power to other parts of the state? Nooooooo way, IMHO. Something is going on here.
Threat Matrix! Get cracking on this one. Beat the bushes (so to speak) and see if maybe we've been HIT. I'm still stuck in my classroom without any tv service. I'm cutoff and isolated. By all appearances, traffic lights are out all over the county. I have to go to the VA and then home this afternoon. It's gonna be a dangerous nightmare to travel. Got no choice.
FOX,,,Shut-down was for “safety”,,,mmmmmmmmm...
WHOA! I knew there was something real bad about that deal.
