Imagine the transformative effects in the region, and indeed in the entire Muslim world, of achieving a secure and stable Iraq, friendly to the United States and victorious over al-Qaeda. Are the Democrats so intent on denying George Bush retroactive vindication for a war they insist is his that they would deny their own country a now-achievable victory?

democrats would rather rule in hell than serve America.
Well one read it, out of the three I addressed it to, by all indications, though one of the other had avoided me like the plague today. They are in self denial. Most I work with are liberal by training and association. Not exactly the brightest bulbs around to begin with. So be it. Taint their faults, they where just brought up in a liberal environment.
DUTCH BABY!!!
You can run...But, you can’t hide...
The rats apparently never considered a coup. Not against the President but at the Capitol. A company of combined arms could remove the objectional traitors and place them in detainment till they see the light.
They can be replaced
Damn straight.
According to Harry Reid and the defeat-mongers, it's already lost. Even as it's almost won.
Thank God these people weren't in charge of the Iraq War. Or the Revolutionary War. Or any other war.
What do people mean by victory in Iraq? If by “victory” you mean that Iraq contains absolutely no terrorists, well, then thousands of young American soldiers will be fighting (and dying) in Iraq for decades.
I value young American lives highly, so I’m not sure that squandering them to bring peace to a people so far away (when we have so many problems at home) is worth it.
Of course, if you don’t value young American lives highly, then it’s easy to say that losing thousands more American lives to help so many foreigners so far away is worth it.
Maybe I’m wrong. I mean, how do you assign a value to an American life? If we’re going to sacrifice ten more young American lives, what should we expect in return? A hundred more young American lives? A thousand? It’s not clear what we’re getting back that is worth the thousands of young American lives already lost in Irag.
