In 1979 I carried a gun. I had a permit to do so. It was a 9 mm Browning automatic with 14 rounds in a clip. The reason I had a weapon was because I handled large sums of money, and my boss suggested that it might be a good idea. I carried my 9 mm every time I went out...

“I dont understand why people make a big deal when someone gets the terminology wrong.”
It is not a big deal to someone who doesn’t own a gun, but it sounds ridiculous to a gun owner. If I said I had a stick shift in my car, a person who knows how to drive would know I had a manual transmission. But for someone who didn’t know a thing about cars, they might think that any car with a floor mounted shifter is a stick shift, even if it was an automatic. Words mean things and the way words are used can be very revealing about what a person really knows.
Must have been some setup. A Class III Hi Power? With a 14 round clip?
Nice!!!
I generally don’t agree with ol’ Siggy, but that one’s just too good to ignore.
Bullshit. Any semi-auto owner knows it's a magazine, not a 'clip.' This article is a lie.

True, it can reveal gun ignorance (as with the author of the article) but I have known gun savvy WWII combat vets that routinely called a magazine a clip. I once asked one why he called it a clip and he looked at me like I had 2 heads and answered “what difference does it make WTF I call it?
Agreed.
It seems Fred is head and shoulders above us all when it comes to self control and anger management. :-)
But the moron...really didn't know what he owned....
Guns and SUVs roaming the streets killing people...
all GWBush’s fauld of course.
The solution is obvious, more illegal alien workers.
Now THAT is awesome...!!
New man law, if you’ve been shot at by guns that load with clips and have been shot at by guns with removable magazines then you can interchange the terms, clip and magazine.
Everyone else has to put pink mother of pearl grips on before the next range trip if they misspeak.
How’s that work for you all?
I owned a Browning Hi Power but it had a 13 round mag. Sold it years ago. It was a 1960s gun. Wish I had it back.
You’re disenfranchising the revolver shooters! That’s racist!
I have a stick. It doesnt use clips or magazines. I just point it at people and yell "BANG".

What if you’ve only been shot at with a muzzle-loader and a revolver? (Its a very long story).
You would think that the statistics would back up his claim, if he were to put his name to an article stating, as fact, that more guns would lead to more impulse shootings.
The stats are quite the opposite, but that doesn’t deter his emotion-laden fact-free rant.
Here are my trials and tribulations with people that don’t know better.

After reading some of his other rants, he might have been concerned about shooting himself (No joke.)
