I am a registered Democrat because I registered to vote long ago here in NW FL many years ago. In those days one had to be a Democrat in order to have any say in local elections which were all decided in the Primary because Republicans didn’t bother to run. Now the situation is about 2/3 reversed but I am still a nominal Democrat. In Graham’s time as governor it was good to be able to write to his office and start my letter with “As a registered Democrat...” There is really no reason to change that now. I actually voted for a Democrat who was far the better man for school superintendent one year and I sent the Party $5 so I get to go to the barbecue in election year. The Republican party doesn’t do barbecues. Many of the outlanders who come here are Canadians and they don’t vote or give a damn about local conditions so long as they can get their necessary medical work done while they are here.

not usre if you are joking here but

so you vote for a party which wants my taxes raised, not ot have the right to protect myself, i.e. the castle law, wants me to wear a helmet though I do but I don’t need a law telling me etc etc but you’ll stay and keep voting for them because they have a barbecue
