Crime is just one statistic

Yeah, just a real small issue.

But the fact remains, California’s largest city, LA, has considerable less crime than the large cities in most other states.

I know this rubs some the wrong way, but hey, that’s life.

I know reading is hard for you and thinking is as hard as posting without an insult.

Some people just don’t like hard facts.

We have lunatics here are FreeRepublic who assure us that the flood of illegals into California isn't any big deal at all

Oh, it's a big deal, but they are everywhere now thanks to the Fedgov. This is not to mention other big deal issues, like crime.

sad truth is that Californians can buy up the good parts of the state because their little homes in California were so expensive.....hopefully, that is changing...

Oh, and I didn't insult you or anyone else. I have only posted some crime stats, that clearly show that California *largest* city, LA, has considerable less crime per capita than most other *large* cities in other states.

I don't know why you are taking offense to this.

One of the first stories along these lines was published some years ago and it relied on the creation of what came to be called the U-Haul Index - for instance it costs $5992.00 right now to rent a truck one-way to Nashville from L.A. and only $748.00 to rent the same truck to move back:

LOL... Nice area. I might move south from NSide Indy. Carmel used to be such a nice little town, now its a nightmare, and it's screwing up Indy North.

Back in the early 80's I had friends down at IU who rented a house out next to Yellowwood state forest. Had a big party one night, live bands, kegs.... never bothered a soul. The next day we took one of the roommates AC/DC album (that he had played over and over...) out in the back yard and blew it to bits with .22's.

:)

“Texas is just getting California’s criminals.”

You could say that. It’s *criminal* the way they’ve tried to change Texas.

Don’t get me wrong, the times we’ve been to visit my BIL there, we’ve had a great time. Love the food and scenery.

Trouble is, I love Texas more. If your going to Rome, do as the Romans do or go back to where ya came from.

We’re getting them from all over. Surprisingly, a lot from Florida.

Californians have been invading Texas for some time now, using monies from the sell of their homes and businesses to buy up real estate. It’s starting to take it’s toll.

Perhaps, but the young ladies that I've spoken with are becoming naturalized Texans. Once they've gotten used to having doors opened for them, and being treated like ladies, they blossom as they never have before.

Pretty soon, they're able to speak fondly of the Dallas Cowboys, Tony Romo, and the 3-4 defense. Wow!!!

Not trying to be doom and gloom but Obaama has all but said as much without being specific. I think he will truly hurt a lot of people. However I thing that is what it is going to take for people to see what the democrats really stand for and this time they will not be able to blame the republicans.

"The refugees bring California with them wherever they go"

I moved from California a few years back and lived there for over a decade.

Over that time Colorado became almost indestinguishable from California as far as nanny-state-ism and general silliness was concerned.

So I moved back to California to be closer to my family and old friends.

California was already screwed up before I was born. But seeing a beautiful state like Colorado go the way of the Dodo bird was just too depressing to stomach.

Please don’t encourage them. They have families and are of breeding age. LOL!

This is only the begining, If Obama gets it, you will see a mass exodus out of this country! Does anyone out thier have a count on the literal devastation inflicted on states who are blessed with liberal skunks that are sucking taxpayers and businesses dry and causing this cancer to spread to others?
It looks like the icing on the cake, Obama and the libs in Congress and the senate will ultimatley drive the final stake thru the heart of a great nation.

The form is located here. It is 3 1/3% of the total sales price OR a range of rates against the GAIN from the original purchase price. For an individual, they take 9.3% of the gain. More detailed information here.

If the home sold is your principal residence (a minimum of two years occupancy during the prior 5 year period), the tax isn't assessed.
