crime is usually low in a police state.
No one said it was small, just one issue among many. The thing about living in Virginia is that if I am assaulted I would be more likely to be able to defend my self than in my native state of California. If I thought I was as free there as I am here and I could afford the $980K it would take to buy the house (in Orange County) we paid $24K for back when I started High School in 1971, I’d move back. I love Orange County. But crime is a problem everywhere. Essential freedoms are important too.
