Mcmedia gets it wrong again. The MSM will stab Mcmedia in the back the second HillObama gets the socialist nomination. Despite all of Mcmedia’s pandering.

Whoever the VP is had better be younger than dirt, because he/she will have to finish this misbegotten presidency, if it comes to that!

The likely Republican presidential nominee said Clinton "would be a good president (1, she would be a terrible president) in the respect that I think she has integrity (probably not a lie, he actually believes this), I think she has all of the qualities that are necessary (probably not a lie, he actually believes this), but she has a very different philosophical view (2, no she doesn't), the liberal Democratic view (3, no what passes for leftist democrat views these days is a mish-mash of Communism, Socialism and Marxism), than I have (4, his views aren't all that different than hers on a myriad of issues), which is conservative Republican (5, this guy wouldn't know Conservatism from the worst Isms known to man)."
What we have here are five outright lies and two examples of John not knowing honest political differences from history's most embarrassing failed ideologies. Even extending the benefit of the doubt to John on the seven issues he touched on, he displays a woefully inadequate understanding of the domestic and global political stage, for a man trying to become President of the United States.
This means he is capable of just about anything, not having a firm foundation on the fundamentals.

Nah, you and I agree on the overview, but if you think they’re going to get religion before November, I think you’re extending too much credit to them.
That is a bit harsh though. They are where you and I were ten to fifteen years ago. It took us time too.
It’s just that today the stakes are higher than they have ever been, with international agreements on the horizon that will end our sovereignty. People are playing with fire and don’t even know it.

I agree with ya! I don't think they're gonna have a major epiphany before November, nor is there enough time to do anything even if they do. But I think I'm going to just "back up, and away" just a bit because frightening people is performing no useful function. That's just my humble opinion.
Good point...we didn't get this way "over night", and yes...stakes are very high!

I won’t be baited by your immature, cowardly rants — running to someone else to fight your fight — I don’t care if it’s th Pope or Ronald Reagan. It doesn’t matter. Now go away.

I kinda like it. I wish Bush had those kind of cajones -- maybe he might have vetoed a porkbarrel apending bill once or twice in his first few years, instead of just cutting taxes twice (the right thing to do -- raised overall revenues). If he had the guts to confront the runaway spending we wouldn't be in half the fiscal mess we're in.

Sounds more like a bunch of 'immature cowardly rants', which is why Senator Thad Cochran of Mississippi is on the record as saying the idea of a President John McCain "puts a cold chill in him".
And Cochran knows McCain better than ANY of us here on FR.

No, in this case that would've been him saying "If you don't agree with me I'm gonna tell the Senate leader".

Leno had a great bit on how the candidates are being careful in their criticism of each other. If they attack Hillary it’s sexism, if they attack Obama it’s racism and if they attack McCain it’s elder abuse.

I at least want folks to see that some of us do think this is a critical time in our history, and honestly think everything we cherish in the way of a nation is on the line. Those are the stakes. It’s not so much as an attempt to scare people, as to make them sit up and take notice.
Folks shouldn’t go about business as usual when we as a people collectively stoop as low as we have this year with our nominations.
We need to turn this nation around, or simply accept that what we have cherished about it is over.

Your post needs to be repeated, and I added a few more...
John McCain: "I think she is a very good person."
"...good character, honesty, integrity" transcript, video
They're both traitorous, liberal globalists and corrupt to boot, that's what they have in common and why they're chummy. In my view, anyone who votes for him is voting (whether knowingly or not) for the new world order and that means the incremental destruction of our constitution, borders and ultimately our country.

“I dont have a problem with what McCain said about RvW. Id love to see abortion made illegal, but we have a long way to go to educating people, first, and I have no desire to outlaw abortion and then have the horror of thousands of women dying of illegal abortions. Anyone who dismisses that reality is no pro-lifer in my book.”
This makes no sense. You are OK with millions of babies, who have done nothing wrong, being killed so long as someone, who is an adult, does not have to die from a decision that the adult makes? And you call this pro-life?

Repealing Roe is in fact only a necessary first stepI disagree. I think consensus is built, we convince people to see abortion is evil, then they will have no problem with RvW being appealed. If it's done the other way, the reactionaries will prolong the lies about abortion into perpetuity AND on top of that have the emotional argument, which as we've seen is so popular, about "the government taking away your right to do what you will with your body."
If we'd taken this approach from the start, RvW might already have gone the way of the dodo. Convince--don't ram down people's throats.

There is a LOT of work to be done to stop abortion. Repealing Roe is in fact only a necessary first step, but one that will not be a major factor in reducing abortions on its own.BTW, that touches on another reason why winning the argument first is SO important--if we repeal RvW, but there are "safe" (not for the baby) abortion alternatives available for home use, then we've won absolutely nothing.
We must make the argument that abortion itself is wrong--then when RvW is repealed, no one will care, because they WANT it gone, like slavery.
Merely repealing it without that necessary work first wins us nothing, and abortion would indeed become MORE common as technologies are dispersed to make it easier.
What good is repealing RvWade if in the process we INCREASE the number of abortions?
