I have read alot at various sites over the past few days. I cannot believe those who still are on their "Romney honeymoon"??? Endorsing McCain to them means that he is really a great guy with character, a real team player, a real conservative who is taking one for the team. Isn't it obvious that the man has his own interest at heart and not yours? Romney and McCain fought bitterly during the primaries, Romney accuses McCain of taking away freedom of speech (does it get worse than that!), and promises to repeal McCain-Feingold when elected. See video:

Wow! Can you Romney supporters please see the endorsement for what it really is - Romney getting in on the action for himself. If you want real change, please consider another candidate instead of the same old establishment hacks manipulating your vote.
Thank you for reading.
Exactly.
A moral baby killer. Imagine that.
“No amount of spindoctoring can change the fact that Mitt is a man of moral character, business savvy and who puts his loyalty to his country and party ahead of his own personal desire.”
Who’s doing the spindoctoring here? Those of us who opposed Flip didn’t need to do any spinning, we let his record speak for itself. The fact that you don’t want to accept these facts makes you the spin doctor, not us.
There's nothing "moral" about being a lying, flip-flopping, principle-less RINO. And if he was truly loyal to this country, he wouldn't endorse an open-borders, liberal, doublespeaking globalist like McCain, purely for political reasons. But hey, that was good spin of yours, speaking of "spindoctoring".
That darn YouTube.
“That darn YouTube.”
Anyone who opposes Flip is a *hater* so the facts don’t count.
Yea, that too!
But national security wasn't one of them.
Why would he get into specifics on their disagreements?
Not the proper forum, IMO.
I understand full well that Romney is not Reagan. Romney was my third choice in this election, and we are now faced, IMHO, with even worse choices.
But my point regarding Romney now backing McCain is that it is not unusual and it certainly does not mean that Romney now espouses the contrary views that McCain espouses...it only means that Romney is throwing his support behind McCain now so that McCain can be in a position to defeat the democrats, either of which cretans would be an even worse disaster for this nation.
Huckabee has every right to stay in it as long as he wishes...but my bet is that at some point in the near future, he too will endorse McCain...and for the same reasons Romney has.
That is all.

...and that is exactly what Huckabee is...and Huckabee will eventually endorse McCain lmao.
This whole election will be a disaster. Of course the Democrats will win it in a blow-out the likes of which would make Super Bowl XII look like an Olympic Slalom race.
McCain has the voter appeal of Count Dracula and his current ploy is to strike FEAR into all Conservatives that the Democrats just must not win. He gives no concrete answers, admits he has very little economic expertise and all his projected actions will be to save the Earth from Industrial abuse of the environment. (And 30 million plus Illegals will have access to Social Security and the Welfare system through his promise of amnesty.)
NO THANKS! Juan, you can stew while many of us real Conservatives go find someone who knows how to lead this country out of the Dark, from which you played a every major role of creating.
Romney's stated position on illegal immigration and several other conservative hot-button issues is much better than McCain's.
With all due respect Jeff,
It’s difficult to compare how things were nearly 30 years ago with today.
At the time, (Reagan) was not facing anywhere near the extremes that this current World is facing. Ford was very much lack luster and incompetent, but in comparison to McCain and what McCain has done to this country, It is impossible to gauge what RR would say or do.
This is disgraceful to bring the honor and memory of one of our greatest Presidents into this debate in the first place. Personally, I differ greatly from your opinion. Under the circumstances, Reagan would be completely incensed by McCain’s behavior over the last 2 decades.
Knowing Mr. Reagan’s level of honesty and integrity, I have a much different projected outcome as to how he would react to RINO Juan McCain. Even still, I will not dishonor this great man by making factual misrepresentations of what he would or would not do.
You also have to remember the electoral landscape has changed in 30 years.
When was the last a republican won Illinois, California, or Pennsylvania? 1988?
I simply stated facts...Reagan did endorse Ford after fighting him. Reagan did put Bush Sr. on the ticket after fighting him. There is no misrepresentation there whatsoever
I am pointing to the concept, not trying to compare specific individuals. But the concept is based on what actually happened.
The fact is, despite the horrible choise we have, despite the areas where McCain has made horrible choices...we will lose everything he is bad at with either a Obama or a Hillary...and in those areas, we will lose them even more badly.
But we will also lose every conceivable area where McCain does have strengths or positions we might agree with.
I disdain what McCain has done, but I cannot countenance losing those other areas as well where so much work, and even blood has been spent to maintain what we have and make progress in those areas as well. That is my stance and it has nothing to do with supporting McCain as it does with trying to prevent an even worse disaster in the WOT, on the SCOTUS, and with abortion.
I believe this is conceptually what Romney is seeing, and believe that ultimately, as sad and disgustiung as it is with this elections cylces choices, is also what Huckabee will see sooner or later.
I do not like, but it is the way I see it.
I know and understand full well that others see it differently and will choose accordingly.
Oh, is someone named conservatism running? Who’s the “conservative white knight” with a reasonable shot at winning the election? You’ve got nothing besides hot air in place of real strategy.
There will be large differences in the consequences depending on which of the two are elected. To pretend otherwise is foolish.
Keep making sence Jeff.
