The McCain Conundrum
12/14/2008 | KMAJ2

Posted on 02/15/2008 12:18:31 AM PST by KMAJ2

Other than the socialist Mike Huckabee and isolationist Ron Paul, John McCain was at the bottom of my list for a preferred candidate. On the other side of the equation, it is looking like Barack Hussein Obama may overrun the ice queen Hitlery Clinton. What makes that scary is Obama is to the left of the ice queen.

I have read posts from both sides of the McCain debate, the 'if you don't vote for McCain it is a vote for the democrat' gang and the 'I will not subjugate my conservative principles and vote for McCain' crowd. Personally, I support the rights (read freedom) of everyone to make such choices.

For me, my vote will be guided by my own priorities. What do I value most ? What is most important ? The scale weighed on one side love of country and on the other love of ideology. My country always comes first. So as distasteful as it will be to vote for McCain, to allow either Marxist, Hitlery or Obama, to win is to sell out my country.

Is your ideology more important then your country ? Do you only love your country if the elected leaders are those who mirror your ideological beliefs ? If one is willing to hand your country over to leaders who are clearly worse than the alternative, then one clearly loves their country, but they love their ideology more. But that is the unique trait of a free people, they have the freedom to place that order on their priorities.

I can name the enemy. I’m surprised you can’t.

So in response to McCain wanting to eliminate waterboarding (which I agree with you is stupid of him) you want to hand the keys to the nation to the islamofacists by giving presidential power to hillary or obama.

Boy, that’s REALLY throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

You’re delusional if you think McInsane would EVER “capitulate” to conservatives. McCain will have Kennedy picking his judges.

I’m not going to play your stupid game.

I’ll name.

You’ll parse.

I’ll explain.

You’ll parse.

I’ll give substantiation.

You’ll parse.

So let’s just go straight to the bottom line:

Your head is in the sand. With Ron Paul and the democrats.

Fine. Have fun down there.

I hope you’re not at ground zero when the next blast hits America.

Apparently the bottom line is that you cannot in fact name the enemy. We are fighting an enemy with no name, and for this you would have our soldiers die.

The bottom line is that you refuse to name the enemy, for any enemy you could name would require a strategy other than the one our nation is following. And being unable to defend the doctrine, you refuse to even define an opponent.

Dude, quit teasing us.

Who is the enemy?

Does McCain know? Will he explain to the American Public? Does he have ANY guiding principles/philosophy?

I’m not here to speak for McCain. I’m not a friggin McCain spokesperson. I’m sick to my stomach that he won the nomination. I’m just trying to move on.

I refuse to answer such an obvious question. If you’re really asking then you either so stupid that you’re beyond redemption or you want to play some idiotic moronic word-game parsing BS semantic spin-the-meaning funsy sort of shyte and I ain’t interested.

I’m not taking my marbles home. I’m just not here to play your 3rd-grade word games.

I’m definitely in this. I will be active in the general election. I will not be one of those who are taking their marbles home, staying home and pouting because they didn’t get their way.

I didn’t get my way. Fred lost. But that doesn’t mean I’m going to sit home and pout.

Nobody is playing any word games, you were asked a simple question and have rudely refused to answer it. I answered your question, what is the big deal about answering mine? I’m just looking for a name. Don’t you think the name of the enemy is meaningful in a discussion of the war?

Stop trying to bait me, asshole.

I said one of the reason’s I’m willing to back McCain in the general election is because he recognizes we’re at war.

"Stop trying to bait me, asshole."

Dude, calm down.

Does McCain know who the enemy is? Know how to protect the homeland?

I’m calm. I just think you’re an asshole trying to play assaholic word games.

I’m quite capable of having that opinion and remaining calm.

It's not at all obvious to me. You still seem to be avoiding answering any questions.

Maybe you just put your marbles in your pocket and are playing with them there?

John McCain is a Democrat. He is also loony tunes, nasty, and scary. Last I saw him, he looked ready to collapse. He giggles and talks to himself. He has dissed our POW/MIAs and their families. He visited his Vietnamese captors. Not surprising that there is talk of the Manchurian Candidate.

Maybe he wants the war in Iraq because that will keep the troops from protecting the border. And he does not want the border protected, and he voted against barring terrorists from this country. This leads to only one conclusion.

It seems to me that a vote for Obama or Clinton is a for a liberal. A vote for McCain is a vote for a liberal who calls himself a conservative Reagan Republican. That unseemliness and hypocrisy disqualifies him right there.

Knowing how much he hates conservatives and conservative principles it is very difficult to see any rational reason to vote for him. And he loses points when I recall how frequently he vents his uncontrollable eye-popping, vein-bulging explosive temper on conservatives. Why on earth should we vote for this old coot?

Call me crazy but I have no intention of putting nuclear weapons and the security of country in the hands of man who possesses a vicious, explosive temper -- with a room temperature flash point!
