Posted on 02/14/2008 6:30:09 PM PST by Defendingliberty

Ok HELP HELPHELP…No Matter what we say, we are going to vote McCain…Hold you fire until I finish…I was toying with voting for Obama to stick it to the Florida Republican Party, but I have changed my mind…Granted we will have only 3 viable choices (stay home, Republican or Democrat) what will we do come Nov? ….Nobody is going to stay home…Pick the most palatable socialist? …It has to be McCain…for a campaign pin we need clothes pins with “Nose Holders for McCain”… Defendingliberty

Buddy, the problem is.... Do you support Hillary or Obama. If it is neither, then only McCain is left. It’s not my choice, it’s my reality.

Have you watched the movie “The 300”?

McCain is the off cast cripple!

Granted we will have only 3 viable choices (stay home, Republican or Democrat)

Calm down. The election is TEN MONTHS AWAY.

The prize at stake is the most powerful position in the world, and thousands of jobs that go with it.

The system for choosing candidates has collapsed, because the parties are obsolete, the candidates are entrepreneurs running medium-sized businesses (ME for President), and the media has become amazingly influential.

Anything can still happen. It's possible that no one whose name is now in the game will be the President-elect come November.

Power is lying on the ground. Who will pick it up?

McCain will not carry any of the states that Kerry won. Add Ohio to the Dim column, and the Dim is over the top. Add Florida, Virginia, Arkansas, and Tennessee, and it gets worse.

Georgia might flip to the Democrats as well with McCain as the nominee.

I’m a Maverick Republican: I’ll oppose the Party Nominee if I want to, and you have to like it!

For our troops, it’s important to elect a Republican president.

For the families of our troops, it is important to elect someone that will not leave our borders unsecured while waging a war. Unfortunately, that rules out McCain.

Of course he will. In fact, I'm expecting a McCain electoral sweep!

McCain can eat DIRT (and so can his cronies, Donors and Party Bosses from NY). VPs never ~do~ anything, beside I dont thing our nation can surivive another liberal Repubican Admin! Also, Also, the demo will be a 1 Term President espeically if it galvanizes our side.

Anyway (many that are calling for a “Conservative VP”) are calling for Romney to be that person..He’s hardly a ‘Conservative’ knight-in-shining-armor: Remember “RudyMcRomney”?

I agree and I find it disturbing that so many who believe in the democratic process keep saying that it’s not possible (a write in campaign). I remember my dear Father when I would say that can’t be done he would say “When you’ve done all that you can do to make it happen come back and see me”.

“This thread is full of trolls who are not going to vote at all. Phhhhhtttt.”

I voted for Romney on Super Tuesday. Yeah, I know that ended up being a vote for McCain. Who Knew?. Now my concern is what to do on November 4th. Write in Reagan? I cant vote for McCain because of the 1st amendment, amnesty, taxes, his tendency toward insanity. I can’t vote for Obama because I think he is a lot smarter than he is given credit and thus, VERY dangerous. I can’t vote for Hillary because she is, well, Hillary for Pete’s sake.

What to do??

If Arlen Spector was in McLames position, would you feel the same way? Personally, I can not stomach the thought of a RINO president, one who would help the liberals pass their socialist programs. One that would not use the veto pen nor lead his party repub's to defeat the liberal demo legislation in the senate or congress. The Demo would pass all the blame to the setting president for the country going down the tubes and would therefore stay in power forever. If the country would last that long. We will be much better off with a united party to fight a demo president, than have a RINO president who would join them and help them. WAKE UP FREEPERS..This election is far more important that just willy nilly supporting a candidate just because he is your party's nominee. Ann Coulter is right, we will be much better off to ride out a liberal president, than to support a party rino who has consistently stuck it to us over many years.

“Voting for him does not violate some sacred law of conservatism. It merely is a pragmatic approach...”

Is it? A McCain presidency with a likely Dem congress would be a mess. McCain’s probably a one-termer, who could foment an even bigger anti-Republican backlash than Bush. Then what? 2012 becomes an Obama or maybe a Joe Kennedy year, with a veto-proof congress. Hillary on the other hand would have the opposite effect, with maybe a 2010 Republican comeback, followed by maybe Haley Barbour, J.C. Watts or whomever in 2012. The immediate concern is the Supreme Court, but I still tend to think that Hillary would help swing the pendulum to the right. McCain would not.
