I hope she gets fined by the FCC for this....
Jane has no class, no respect for anyones else or herself. She is trash, plain and simple. She needs to be tried for treason for giving aid and comfort to the enemy and being the cause of the deaths of many POW's.

Jane Fonda... what a silly bunt!

“The entire purpose of that skit was the get over the vulgarity of the word describing female genetalia.”
Unfortunatley, like it or not, with your actual defense of her, the word now becomes part of the accepted lexicon.
Coming to a neighborhood near you:
“Your (teenage/pre-teen/child)daughter is a ‘c’!”
“Hey, ‘c’!”
and on...and on...and on
How’s that gonna play in polite southern society?

YOU mean she has a shunt in her head?
That explain quite a few things

I don’t even THINK that word! Just can’t bring myself to go all the way through the word in my mind. I just skim it when I hear of it, read of it. It’s the most vile word in the english language, imho.

I never said I liked the word, I’m just telling you why she used it.

"Mike Hunt" happened once on a local PBS station pledge drive when there was a short live segment with a older lady producer and a few kids. When the producer asked the kids their names, she would repeat it. A few kids down the line, it happened and it didn't dawn until much later apparently.

Considering all that this woman has done and all the things she has said, can we really be surprised at this latest escapade? Low rent, period.

“Not to defend that monster Jane Fonda though.”
Sorry, phrasing it that way just didn’t seem rise very high on ones the outrage meter.
But what do it know?

Doesn’t anyone remember her ‘04 women’s voter campaign tour called “Vagina’s Vote?”

It is what you would expect from her but what the devil is wrong with NBC News management allowing this to air?
With a host like Meredith Vieira, a topic like “The Vagina Monologues” and an irreverent pig like Jane Fonda even Don Imus could have see the potential for trouble.
Disgusting!

I’m sure they were taken totally off guard.
For all that Fonda isn’t, she is a professional, at least gave the impression beforehand.
What will these programs start doing now? 5 second delays? Taped interviews?
IMHO, I think she has PO-ed the network leadership.
To: PurpleMan
Fonda just trashed every woman with that word.

Im sure they were taken totally off guard. That's why there's such a thing as a dump button :) Someone I talked to who saw the show this morning caught the segment, but didn't hear Fonda say the word. Did local affiliates have the ability to hit the dump button? If so, what's with the network? Was someone asleep at the switch, or doesn't NBC have the show on a five second delay?

NBC is Live, live, live.
Don’t know if network dump buttons exist or at the local level.
