“It is by waiting for the next Reagan that they’ve risked sticking us with the next Clinton.”
Thank you Kaslin. I haven’t forgotten how it made me feel having the Clinton mafia in MY Whitehouse for 8 years. I haven’t forgotten how I felt when Hillary hung rubbers on MY Whitehouse Christmas tree either.
Putting all politics aside, we’ve been so incredibly blessed to have had the Bush couple (and Cheneys) and their families occupying it for the past 7 years. The thing that stands out most to me, is how very blessed THEY’VE felt to have been given that honor. That says so much about them. Pure class acts...

I have a vision: There is a debate, on the right is an old, old man, he is fatigued and disturbed, it shows in the lines on his face. His eyes move from side to side and his mouth alternately purses and thins. On the left side is a relaxed, comfortable and rested looking young black man.
It is a nightmare!

- It would be disastrous for America if those conservative purists whod make the perfect the enemy of the good let America go down a path from which it might not recover. - We will more likely go down that path if we are slowly boiled to death while listening to the siren song of foux conservatism than if we are shocked out of our complacency by seeing the raw unadulterated socialism that H/O bill attempt when they are elected.
So long as we continue to be "enablers" to a misguided party drunk on governing like Democrats, we will never HAVE a party which will govern like Republicans (or rather, what Republicans CLAIM to be and usually are not...which is conservative)
On the contrary, lets let the ignorant and the complacent American voter see raw socialism in action for 2 or 4 years. when they do, they will either recoil in horror are REAL Conservatives will be elected in 2010 and 2012....or they will shrug their shoulders and reach for another beer - in which case, it's too late anyway.

I am not a Democrat, independent or Republican; I am a conservative. I held my nose and voted for Bush 1, Viagra Bob and George W twice. Not one of them was a Conservative. I have come to the conclusion that by voting for the lesser of two evils I have voted against my own interest and it has been detrimental to the nation and to me. I have thrown my cloths pin away, I will not hold my nose and vote ever again. Bush is not in a position to give me advice and McCain has never been in a position to receive my vote.

The author does have a point. Instead of spending all of their time with the “Stop Hillary Express”, Hannity and others should have been pushing “Elect Fred Thompson”....then we wouldn’t be stuck with McCain.

Look McCain can beat hillary with out my vote, Obama said it himself, she starts with 47 percent of the country saying they would never vote for her. If by chance she is the Dem nominee, McCain will get my vote, If not it won’t matter. You can’t beat hope with more of the same.

McCain, even though his policies are better than Hillary and Obama’s, is going to give us many sleepless nights as well.

McCain=Amnesty=Destruction of this country as we know it. No principled conservative should be complicit in this guy's election. Vote, but don't vote for McCain for President. Leave the top spot blank or write in someone.
John McCain is not the only one who can vote on the basis of principle and conscience.

We are still in the Primary stage of this election cycle for cryin’ out loud. Those whom still have a Primary ahead of them vote for anybody but McPain and if inspite of those efforts he does win think about what we will do for the General election then. Sheesh!
By voting against McPain, there is that possibility we might get another chance at the Convention. Get the word out that the base doesn’t like what’s happening. The GOP will have no choice but to recognize us. Turn it around on them. They are the ones saying we haven’t any choice, they’ll (us) vote our way. Turn it around by voting in your primary for anybody but McPain. Make the GOP recognize us.

You don’t need us. And some of your soldiers here are as snotty as McCain. Go have your little party without the right. You want a moderate, left wing party, then by all means go for it. You want him. You nominated him. Have a ball.
The die is cast. Unenthusiastic support from conservatives finishes your candidate. The little people have to run precincts and work for the candidate at ground zero. It’s all you can do to cajole or bully people into supporting him at all. I won’t. I’m finished with the Rockefeller Wing. I held my nose for Dole and Bush, but not for McCain. He’s the worst form of reptile. Unless, you are a leftist, you’d get next to nothing from him. But the illegals will get plenty of goodies. No McCain for me, ever. My best.

What these clueless fools at IBD and other compromisers don't understand is that it is not the responsibility of conservatives to elect liberals, RINOs, and NON-conservatives.
It is the responsibility of the political party to nominate candidates that stand for, and uphold conservative positions, IF they hope to appeal to conservative voters.
For example, let's say I go to the 'Grand Old Steak House' where I've always enjoyed a good traditionally prepared steak, and I order the 'Reagan Delmonico' as always, medium rare, and the waiter brings out a large liberal serving of ground-up RINO burger, complete with gristle ala McCain, that looks *and* smells BAD.
I tell the waiter "this isn't what I ordered", and the waiter says "it's all we have, you'll just have to eat it", and I tell the waiter to take that putrid sh*t back to the kitchen and to tell the chef to go to Hell. That's not what I ordered, I'm damn sure not going to eat it, let alone pay good money for it.
I get up and head for the door, the manager of the steak house pleads with me "oh, but you've been coming here for so long, can't you just eat this RINO burger? We don't want to go out of business if you and your fellow diners refuse to eat what we're serving!"
That's when I tell the manager in no uncertain terms, "when you stopped serving the Reagan Delmonico, you lost my business."
If the Grand Old Steak House has to close it's doors, so be it. When they presume to tell the diner what they will and will not eat, despite what is on the menu and what is preferred, that only proves that their business model no longer works, and they don't deserve any further loyalty.
