Now that we know who the Republican nominee will be, we need to think about his running mate. My ideal vice presidential candidate is Condi Rice. Who is your choice?

Might as well. I guarantee if he did pick OJ, there would be people here that would vote for the ticket because - hey! ANYONE would be better than Hillary or Obama - right?
No, Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton. Louis Farrakan better yet. That way we can REALLY reach across ideological lines.
Evan Bayh. He needs someone more conservative than he is on the ticket and it would open up a Senate seat for the Republicans in Indiana.
Keyes gets nowhere because he’s annoying; he’s too intense for television.
I don’t think McCain will get the job. That’s why I say it makes no difference.

The most dangerous liberals in the primary had to be taken out. I wear my sinking of Romney as a badge of honor. :-)
Everett Dirksen, if he were still alive, would provide fiscal responsibility and a great voice. The voice and charm alone would bring in millions of independents.

If you think that Ms. Rice is “conservative”, well, you better start thinking harder, my friend.
Condi Rice is the “token” candidate that Freepers love to fawn over. But I daresay she probably stands to the left of McCain on most social issues, and most of the _other_ issues that we will be confronting in the next four years.
After her debacle with the Palestinians, do you really, really, REALLY think she is the one to be deciding foreign policy in the Mideast?
At least McCain knows better than that!
