Fred Thompson, the one-time Republican presidential candidate, endorsed Sen. John McCain Friday, calling on the party to "close ranks" behind the presumed nominee

It was tempting, but too obvious. I *did include ‘rat’, as in Democ, if it’s any consolation.
Nobody bit.
Yes, it was mathematically impossible because Fred and Huck spoiled that. No accident. Why do you think Fred drug his heels from May ‘til late Sept? If McCain had been doing better by then Fred never would have gotten in. That’s about when Huck got in too wasn’t it?
Bottom line is just like how things turned out in Kahleeforneeya under aRINOld. Maybe he’s got an R in front of his name, but conservatism lost. The R party didn’t learn the lesson, even though there was a wakeup call in 2006, so now that they hit the snooze button they’ll be in for a very rude awakening, and it will be such a huge shock to these RINOs.
Free Republic is NOT a GOP website, so stop pushing this lockstep republicanism bull shiite on us.
At long last. This should send every Fredhead into a tizzy. Is this not the mother of flip flops?
Hmmmm.
I’m going to call the elections office in TX tomorrow and ask who will be on the ballot.
Who gave Soros influence?
McCain/Soros by Rabbi Areyh Spero
Soros' "Reform" (an article about Soros instrumental hand in McCain/Feingold)
I have said for months that most people still THINK the Republicans “control” Congress. They have no clue who Reid and Pelosi are! That explains the low ratings of Congress, even less than those of GWB. If voters were “told” that the Democrats are in Congress to “help them”, they would give Congress a 70 percent rating! They aren’t the brightest bunch, are they, admit it!
Yes, I’m looking more for the half-full glass..... don’t know if McCain would really be worse than GW but I’m thinking maybe not..... I’m not at all happy with the choices being thrown up by our political process but then Ronald Reagan is really the only seriously conservative President we’ve had since maybe Calvin Coolidge!! GW and McCain really do not differ much on most issues, and I’m never thrilled with either by a long shot..... but for the WOT and for judges they will each do better than any of the ‘Rats by a long shot. I’m certainly more concerned with McCain on judges, but otherwise I don’t see GW and McCain as very different. Neither would have been my first choice ever, but I would take either over any of the ‘Rats every time.
Oooh - back away - take 10 deep breaths...wouldn't want you to blow a gasket.
Oh, you already did...
Sorry
Nope! It is exactly what Fred said from the beginning, that he would support the GOP candidate in the general election, which he has just done!
I’d say they can’t print it until 2 weeks before early voting - which would be Feb 18 or so - so even then Huck may have dropped out. So their print deadline is Feb 11.
I double dog guarantee you McRage will be the only ‘R’ on our ballot.
Got it thank you!:)
Thanks for getting in touch with your inner RINO.
Look, a piece of dog poop with an R in front of it. Let’s vote for it!
The voters who x'd for John in NH were not the angry people you refer to. They were independents. In SC, Fred and Huck and Mitt took those angry voters.
By then, something called MOMENTUM began and with the steady drum beat 24/7 of the media telling voters (1) John McCain is the frontrunner. (2) John McCain is the only one who can beat Hillary. (3) John McCain is gold.
Voters don't want to waste their vote.
In short, those angry people are not the one who gave him the nomination for the most part. Politics is war. And it is dirty.
All the candidates names will be on the ballot, at least they all were here in Colorado on Tuesday.
