Fred Thompson, the one-time Republican presidential candidate, endorsed Sen. John McCain Friday, calling on the party to "close ranks" behind the presumed nominee

That is fine. You don’t have to be such a jerk about it.
No, it doesn’t. Loyalty and regard are not transferable, in politics or business.
Any thoughts on Cheney? I would have loved to see him President. Just throwing it out there! Maybe?
A newbie Jezebel. Good point - using Him against us. We know where the root of that comes from.
Yep, I heard they need ice water.
Are you kidding? I have been waiting for the news of Fred supporting McCain since the day Fred dropped out. The fredheads were so delusional, and I damn near had to suspend myself from posting because they were giving me such a hard time, when all I was doing was posting exactly what came to pass. Oh, but weren’t they holier than everyone else. Well now it’s my turn. Fred heads were SUCKERS. They threw money and time at an old nag who may have never intended to finish the race. Fred was LAME. Events have borne it out.

Perfect! But maybe after eight years of dealing with it all, he may have run out of patience with all the clymers. I know I have.
Cheney? With his ticker??? We’d better nominate TWO vice presidents, then. Besides, I think most of the foreign policy failures of the Bush admin can be laid at Cheney’s feet, plus his old buddies, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, et al. The criticisms of those men are based in fact. They oversold, underdelivered on everything they tried. Cheney should go take McCain quail hunting. That would be useful. Other than that, he should retire, go eat a thick steak and keel over.
Unless you said Fred would wait until the actual nominee was known and then call for party unity behind that candidate, you were not right all along.
In point of fact, Willard gave this thing to McCain, and Fred is just following on with him and all the other party bigs in saying “we must unite.”
And the stalking horse storyline (Fred drops out and immediately endorses his buddy McCain) turned out to be one more bullshit line out of the Romney Sleaze Machine.
Well, if I was a “Jezebel” I’d return the blasphemy in like manner.
It’s cool that you disagree with me over McCain. But why such vitriol?
“A curse without cause shall not alight.” Blessings.
I’m still puzzled at your vitriol over McCain. I only mentioned his arms because the Vietnamese did not set them right when they were broken when he had to eject from his plane. (His leg also, I believe.) They were not set correctly for five and a half years, and I believe when he finally got back stateside, they tried to reset his arms.
LOL! As the rich man pleaded for a drop from Lazarus - the forgotten man.
Huh? Denton’s book is in no wise “secular”. I am still astonished at the anti McCain vitriol. We need to be praying about this race.
True, I’m just dreaming here, lol. I sure as heck wouldn’t want to step in it if I were him! I think they hate him more than Bush! But, wouldn’t it be fun if we “announced” he “announced”. Lots of heads would pop!!! Now, of course we’d be in on it (because we would have started it, heehee).
Sorry, I am soooooo lame!!! Just trying to pick my spirits up here! Hey, what happened to nic?
"Its cool that you disagree with me over McCain. But why such vitriol?".....because you USE Him, that's why.
"You are failing to give God credit.......You need to read Jeremiah Dentons POW book WHEN HELL WAS IN SESSION"......what does God have to do with the book? presently no screen name quotes the Bible and gives Him all credit that He is due.
It didn’t matter if O’Conner was as liberal as Ginsburg. Same with Souter. They all drift left over time. And both the mods and the libs agree most of the time, and more so as time goes on. O’Conner was the deciding vote, just like Souter is now. Most of the time they are with the libs.
