It makes one wonder - since they are close friends, why did Fred even enter his race? When it came time to debate, what then - hand it to him? Something doesn’t seem right but what else is new.

No, SCOTUS will be shot to hell. We will get moderates or mod-libs with McCain. “I can’t get a conservative through a dem senate!” No, SCOTUS is gone with any of the 3.

So you think we would be better off with the 2 or 3 more ultra-liberal judges that Clinton/Obama would appoint rather than the center/moderate judges that McCain would appoint.

Would you rather have a Sandra Day O'Connor or a Ruth Ginsberg? It is silly to pretend there were no difference between them.

I told my father that this was next today. Little did I realize it had happened while I was talking to him.

Folks, you’re going to say I’m as nutty as the dems and am wearing a tin foil hat, but I’m going to say it anyway...

We’ve been had.

I’m a little slow on the draw. I sent Fred all I could. But it occurred to me last night that Huckabee, Fred AND Guiliani were stalking horses.

Huckabee is backed by the partner of Charles Keating, one of the Keating 5 (This is what got me to thinking and wearing the tin foil hat).

I’ve wondered from the beginning why in the world would Rudy be in this race? He’s making money hand over fist now. He doesn’t need this.

I thought the same about Huckabee, except why would he be so stupid as to even *think* he could be prez?

Why did Fred decide to jump in and wait and wait and wait... as much as I loved him... this did NOT make sense.

And why would crazy-assed McCain even consider running since he didn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell? We despise him.

Why did FoxNews ignore Duncan Hunter, the conservative?
Then ignore Fred?
Pump up Rudy, then not keep the pump up?

It all stinks to me people. I think we’ve been HAD.

I thought this election cycle would be different. I thought everyone was on the Internet and the MSM couldn’t control the elections. I was wrong.

I think this came from higher than the MSM. I think this came from the top. I think the MSM is doing as they were told and we, the sheeple, fell in line.

I don’t think we ever even had a vote in this process.

Laugh at me if you like, but I’m feeling very disallusioned right now and coming to FR and reading that Fred did exactly as I was suspecting has made me feel ill-used.

I think the same thing is going on right now with the dem side of the aisle. Mark my words, Obama will not win. He’s just allowed to be there to motivate and get the morons fired up.

Regardless of which side we are on, we’re just being led to believe we have a voice. We’re all fools.

We’re fools if we think we, the people, get to vote and choose the candidates.

Good for him!

John McCain 2008!

In Leftist circles there the Liberal and then next to them is a “liberal” with a sign.

More and more it seems to me some of you all are just the crowd with signs standing next to the Conservative.

Unfortunately, much as I had high hope for the Thompson candidacy, in retrospect I suspect his entry and exit were a choreographed means of consolidating support for McCain by fragmenting Conservative support. If true, this is the logical conclusion of this process unless there is another step in naming Thompson as VP.

I hope I'm wrong but I've seen enough this campaign cycle to develop a large case of cynicism about what has happened.

Note to self: Double position in tin futures.

Politics is unprincipled as we have seen in the last few days. They talk principles, but the only principle they actually have is winning with what you have. We have McCain so now the politicians drop their conservative principles in favor of winning with a weak hand. Long term, conservatives will just become the Blacks of the Republican party. Afterall, they are not really going to vote for Hillary or Obama so contain your anger at being dumped again by the Republican Party.

Yup, and notice how people have started using the "don't betray the troops!" meme to make us come back, like a dog to his vomit. I don't fool that easy.

No McCain, no way.

He entered because we Conservatives drafted him. This nonsense I’m reading that he was part of some conspiracy to help McCain take the nomination is pure moonbat. He certainly had other better things to do like spending time with his family rather than wasting his and ours if the run was a fiction.

Wow. I hadn’t read the thread yet. Thank God. I’m not the only “crazy”.

So what do we do?

I’m thinking that we were able to stop shamnesty because they weren’t sure how strong were are on the Internet. They were afraid and they caved. Since we jumped on board for Fred and toed the line just as they planned, they will no longer be afraid. We have proven that we can be controlled.

We have to show them that this is not the case.

How?

What do we do?

"As if we needed any more proof that they are ALL in bed together . Wake up America ..."

Best post on the thread. And btw, McCain and Hillary are chummy and he has said that he respects her.

As far as Thompson's endorsement, it's not a surprise or 'disappointment' to me, because my instinct from the start has been that he is another globalist. I didn't trust his authenticity from the get-go, mainly because he's a CFR member. And yeah, I fully expected people to either ignore or scoff at your post... while at the same time scratching their heads wondering how we got to the point where we have the choice between two liberals, one with a D and one with an R by his name. I will also pray that people wake the hell up from their deep state of denial.

I so wish you were right. Unfortunately, I don’t think so. I think Fred used us all like yesterday’s trash. I don’t know how the man sleeps at night.

He knew how we’d feel if we endorsed McCain. He did it anyway.

bump for post of the week!!

I will not stop detesting McCain’s RINO positions and galloping socialism BUT of the current possible successors to President George W. Bush he is the ONLY one who is not an outright horror show when it comes to national defense and understanding of our military, foreign affairs, and fighting jihadism.

Shrillary and Obama must never be CinC, especially in such a perilous time in our history and with so many thousands of our finest in harm’s way.

It is unfortunate that we do not have a better option that John McCain, but of the 3 he is the ONLY possible CinC who is not a total freak show. We cannot allow Shrillary or Osama, er, Obama to become CinC in the middle of a war!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THAT is the bottom line.
