I am sick and tired of choosing between the lesser of two stinkin’ evils.

Yea, but that's the way elections are and I believe it is your responsibility to make that choice, as difficult as it may be.

Like as I have said in a few posts back, if Obama is the Dems nomination, this could end up like 1960 all over again, between a youthful John F. Kennedy-like person in Sen. Obama and Sen. John McCain being the Richard Nixon figure.

And he will get out the 18-25 year old vote in record numbers. The GOP has done NOTHING to attract these voters, and with McCain up front they couldn’t even if they tried.

Nope. I have to vote my conscience. That’s my choice. At the end of the day it comes down to the Lord and me, not me and the GOP.

And another thing, if Obama is the nominee, I would strongly suggest to him that he Not pick Hillary as his running mate, he would be better off picking Ted Kennedy. Anybody but her, because socialist that he is, I hate to see him take his own life into his own hands unneccessarily. It would be a real shame. I’m not joking, I honestly believe it. He would be better off enlisting to go to Iraq. I hope he remembers all the dirty tricks. I hope his wife won’t let him forget them. I hear she is pretty upset about it. The Clinton’s need to be defeated, a messeage needs to be sent to all of their enables, being dirty doesn’t pay. Not that it will do much good, because it looks like there are plenty more corrupt Democrats, like the female Senators from Calfornia, to take their place, but at least it will be a start.

oops, forgot “wake up”

“They are obsessed with absolute power and will do anything to keep it. “

The repubicans? Yes, I know.

Ummm, how do you think the Republican party was formed? By stepping in line?

Flawed as they are, the Republicans are no match for the absolute ruthlessness and evil that is the democrat party.

“So hows that working out for you, then?”

Just fine and dandy. I don’t give up my principles for a “party”. I’m not a straight ticket person and never will be, no matter what. I will stick by those principles and I will not be voting for President this time around. I will, as I’ve stated on many threads, vote local and state races, but no more can the GOP count on me just because the guy/gal has an “R” after their name. The GOP has also lost all my donations until such a time as a true Conservative is nominated.

We need to rally to WIN CONGRESS...because the Presidency is already lost.

I agree. At this point, it is all about damage control.

The only people retiring soon are liberals. I’ll take a ‘moderate’ over Obama and Reinhardt.

At the end of the day it comes down to you and your country- not you and your conscience.

When the greater of two evils gets elected and spits on America, how will your conscience feel?

It doesn’t matter if McCain is trying to unify people. He is lacking the qualities needed to do it. I seriously doubt he is a Christian. That would help him, at least on a personal level to reach out to people, it doesn’t mean that he has to wear it on his sleave. The guy has some issues. The way he held a grudge against Bush was ridiculas, and I believe it led to alot of his poor choices in the Senate. I didn’t like Bush at first before he was elected, but I got over it, I learned to like him. I think McCain should have been capable of the same thing.

The Revolutionary War was NOT started because our founding fathers stepped in line either.

Yeah, right. Two old pharts beyond the age of 60, both with bouts of cancer currently in remission or under control who will remind voters of their grandfathers. That will go over well with the young electorate, won't it?

Yup...you took the words right off of my keyboard.
(Really, some people...sheesh.)

My first allegiance is to what He wants of me. My second is to the US. I’ve got to keep my priorities straight.

It would break my heart of course. I absolutely love this country, and will put every ounce of energy I have into defending her. Until the defense of the US calls for me to compromise my Christian beliefs. That’s when my duty to the US ends.

A “Christian” so moderate as to shelve their beliefs for the “greater good” might as well be an agnostic.
