Connerley: Leading push to end racial preferences.
'QUO vadis," conservatives? It's the ancient, apocryphal question the apostle Peter asked Jesus while fleeing persecution in Rome. Where are you going? Where do we go from here? The contest for the GOP presidential nomination is over. The conservative movement is not. Sen. John McCain's campaign resurrection and Super Tuesday victory leave a diverse group on the right - from the libertarian Club for Growth to First Amendment defenders to immigration enforcement proponents - dispirited. But the failure to nominate a true Republican unifier does not spell ideological defeat. On Wednesday, wielding his olive branch like a schoolmarm's ruler, Sen. McCain told conservatives to "calm down." My advice is exactly the opposite: Get fired up.

EXCELLENT article!
Criticizing the elites is not enough. We have to lead ourselves, by finding people who agree with us and elevating them.
As to McCain's suggestion for conservatives to "calm down"...such advisements for me usually have the opposite effect.
That will be impossible with McCain at the top of the ticket--as many conservatives will stay home. There will be no passion, energy or enthusiasm from conservatives.
With McCain at the top--the loss of conservatives at the local, state and congressional levels will be devastating in close races everywhere.
I cant stand Bill O Reilly but last summer she did his show on Fridays and she was fantastic, conservative, intelligent, fiery, and pretty. But then BOR stabbed her in the back over immigration.

I saw a show where BORe jumped on Michele hard about being against amnesty or for border security or some such. She looked surprised and wanted to flame back at him, but didn’t. He’s got the TV show that can promote her . . . she needs to think through how to hit back when guys like BORe cross the line.
I wish a long life and great health for Souter, Breyer, Stevens and Ginsberg
Golly, you are so tolerant and compassionate (sob).
Maybe we should all write-in "Ronald Reagan", so there is no doubt where we're coming from.
I'd love to think you can generate down-ballot enthusiasm against a Hillary candidacy, but I don't see how that happens with McCain as the nominee.
There are only about a dozen states that permit open write-ins.
The others will not count a write-in name unless it has been pre-approved for write-in. To get approval, they need petitions with X number of names. (X varies from state to state.)
I don’t think any of them require that many names on the petition, but if that write-in name is not approved, it will just be tossed. In other words, your message by voting “Ronald Reagan” did not get through.
She said that BOR let Heroldo Revere threaten to spit in her face on his show broadcast and BOR did not confront him.

Two “gentlemen” (not) and a lady.
This is a very good article. Conservatives should look at this as an opportunity to get fired up and involved.
Seventy-five percent of Republicans in this state stayed home Tuesday.
I’d love to think you can generate down-ballot enthusiasm against a Hillary candidacy, but I don’t see how that happens with McCain as the nominee.
Better this, than the “vote for McCain or else”
Michelle has a plausible plan, especially if conservatives concentrate their efforts on state legislative races, which in my opinion are the most important elections since they determine who'll sit in Congress for the next decade.
It's not a good idea for a candidate to chide members of his party as if they were children.
I wonder if we would be allowed to wear T-shirts saying "Ronald Reagan" into the polling area?
It couldn't be considered political advertising, since he is not on a ballot.
I’m fired up to vote conservative this fall but I am NOT voting for McCain. To send a message, I’m voting for Ronald Reagan.
Maybe I'll write in "Vince Foster"--"John Keating"--
Turn out the Vengeance Voters!
This is going to have to be part of an education packet to produce for anti-Mccain voters.
This is necessary to turn voters out to vote for conservative candidates on the same ticketing. Otherwise, disgruntled anti-McCainiacs might stay home.
Thanks for the post... Michelle is “hot” both in her points and her looks... Beauty AND Brains... Gotta love her. Living here in Nebraska, I’ll be checking out that acri.org
Thanks again.
