Are there any Freepers who support John McCain?

If you support Mr. McCain, can you make the case for your man?

Can you make the case without bringing up the War?

Can you make the case without bringing up Judges?

Can you make the case without using any ACU ratings? (Those don't impress anybody.)

Can you make the case without insults or telling people to "calm down"?

Can you make the case without the type of lying and dishonesty we've come to expect from John McCain and his special friend Mike Huckabee?

Can you make the case without trashing Barack Obama?

Can you make the case without using Hillary Rodham Clinton as some kind of boogyman or boogyperson?

Can you?

The ball is in your court.

Sure, I support McCain. All the issues you want to dismiss do matter, and I do not accept your pretense that they don't.

McCain has the character to be a fine president. He showed it in his judgment about strategy in Iraq. He has also shown it in his ability to represent the mushy middle in US political life, something Republicans once understand they had to do, and were good at.

He has the potential to dramatically expand the party and to marginalize democrats on national security issues.

He represents a centerward lurch that was simply required by the decline in power of republicans over the second Bush presidency, which was a function of poor performance in office and disunity.

We can "bid" for more later in better years, nothing is lost or settled in US politics by one election.

He will control spending and if he has any kind of republican backing in congress, balance the budget without raising taxes by the end of his term.

He won't lose the war, which matters whatever you try to pretend.

He will get Bin Laden, using human intel networks built up inside Pakistan.

I don’t think I’ll actually decide until November draws a little closer. In the meantime, I’m going to monitor his actions and rhetoric as closely as possible.

A little action on the border issue, pre-election, would be a breath of fresh air.

How DARE you even imply that any party or candidate owns my vote and that it is my duty to vote for any party candidate regardless of their politics.

If a party or a candidate cannot EARN my vote then they don’t get it.

That simple.

I am not responsible for any outcomes only for how I cast my vote.

Only affirmative votes are counted, so the notion that a vote for other than mccaine is a vote for a democrat is ignorant.

however i 100% DON’T want a jackass in the white house

Apparently you didn't get the memo. McCain is a closet jackass (just like Lindsey "Republican by Day, Democrat by Night" Graham, John Warner, et al).

Just remember, the lesser of two evils is still evil.

McCain is as bad as Clinton or Obama, maybe worse. He despises his own Republicans. No way.

I just got an e-mail from the Family Research Council which said that pro-lifers were voting for Huckabee and Romney, but not so much McCain because of his position on federal funding for Embryonic Stem Cell research.

But I do think pro-life voters will support him in the end.

1.Well, McCain-Fiengold fizzled, didn’t it? Because they just moved the whole campaign up about a year to work around it. Same with any silly law, like prohibition (Ask the Kennedys)
2. I don’t know about his health or whether he will last four years. Cancer is funny. I have it and I feel great! But he should pick an exemplery running mate.
3. George Bush isn’t exactly the perfect conservative, but I think we’ve gained more good than bad with him. Same can be said about MaCain.
4. He now thinks that his vote for amnesty was a mistake and thinks we should protect the border before we make the illegals legal (without voting rights).
5. I admire his determination as a prisoner during Vietnam.
6. None of us ever gets exactly the perfect person in the White House. The worst Republican is better than the best Democrat.
