I don't think we can afford four years of Dems in the White House... we do not need any liberal supreme court justices.

IN case you have not figured this out yet, this is a test of wills between you (and your values) and the Liberals and Moderates (RHINOS and thier values).
The RHINOS are willing to bet that they can keep playing the "Lessor of Two Evils" game with you coupled with a BOGEYMAN political approach of pointing to the Dem candidate (whoever it may be) and they hope you will fold and give up your principles for thiers.
The problem with falling for this game, is that they keep moving the goal line to the left. The candidates the GOP Elite keep putting up are each time a little more to the left.
So far, we, as conservatives, have caved every time and that goal-line has kept moving to the left. The real question for conservatives is where is that proverbial "line-in-the-sand" for us where we say NO MORE!
This goes to basic Human physchology. If a person thinks they can get away with something and you have re-inforced that opinion by allowing them to get away with it, they are only more emboldened and brazen in their attempts to keep getting away with it.
There is another approach that we as conservatives can take as well.
Accountability
We, as a group, can decide that this is our "line-in-the-sand" and unite and say NO MORE! to the RHINO elites in our party.
They are not the base, we are!
We can ignore the BOGEYMAN politics, write-in our favorite conservative of choice and gird our loins, so to speak, and endure the next 4 years of either Clinton or Obama.
The result will be a much stronger AND CONSERVATIVE GOP and the elites will learn a lesson.
Ignore us at your own peril!
Or, you can cave again to the RHINOS, they will have learned nothing from the experience and we as conservatives will become like Slaves on the plantation.
You have a decision to make here, Are your principles important to you?

Replace “Dems” with “McCain” in your sentence, and you still will have the same problems.

I don't think we can afford four years of Dems in the White House... we do not need any liberal supreme court justices. Well, some of us tried to tell the anti-Romney crowd. Now we are here. Good luck. I really am believing the RATS infiltrated FR.

And the reason you think McCain won’t give us liberal justices along the lines of, say, David Souter, is?
