I love Clint... but why should we listen to a lefty that hangs out with Paul Newman and Rob Reiner?

You can still be friends with others of differing politics. Clint is a Republican with libertarian leanings.

Clint Eastwood's political contributions:

DGA-PAC THE POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE OF THE DIRECTORS GUILD OF AMERICA INC. - $1,200 primary 09/15/06

Randy Eastwood (R) House (WA District: 01) RANDY EASTWOOD FOR CONGRESS Lost $250 general 09/21/04

Sam Farr (D) House (CA District: 17) FRIENDS OF FARR Won $1,000 general 05/13/02

Eastwood's allegedly a libertarian Republican, but the only conservative campaign he's contributed to is that of a distant cousin of his. Sam Farr is a very liberal Democrat, and the DGA-PAC gives overwhelmingly to Democrats. Evidently, he didn't even give to the Schwarzenegger campaign.

I'm a big fan of his, and he's free to do as he pleases with his money, but I don't see him as having anything to contribute to any discussion of Republican politics.

Sorry Clint, I refuse to compromise my values to vote for a man that compromised his values long ago.

It’s possible to have friends that you disagree with, you know.

I sort of agree with him. I am not pleased with McCain but I will vote for him. Only because the alternative is much worse. We will have to keep him in check but the idea of we will let America fall just because we don’t like McCain is childish. Who said we will automatically get amnesty. I thought that was a done deal after the 2006 elections
