My decision whether to vote McCain or not is now wholly depending on his VP choice. If its a solid conservative Ill hold my nose and vote for him.
But why? A conservative veep won't do any good unless McCain drops dead in February '09.

Hasn’t McCain already hinted that he intends to serve only one term? He’ll be too old for a second campaign anyway. A good VP now would do some good.

That could very well happen. That’s how “that damn cowboy” Teddy Roosevelt got be be prez.
Even with McInsane healthy, a real conservative could take some activists measures. It is not unusual for a VP to not get along with the Prez so why not go all out.
