Live McCain Speech at CPAC
I think it’s time some people on FR grew up. McCain is going to be the nominee, at this point it’s a better strategy to work with him on the issues we agree and vigorously debate him on the ones we don’t.
At least we have the opportunity to change his mind. With hillary we get a 100% full court press against everything we hold dear. We will get nothing including a closed door.
Don’t forget the 2-3 SC nominations that may come open in the next 4-8 years. You want tohand those to hillary and reid?

I want you to remember that you elected this bozo to a position of real power.
His stand on the surge is the only thing he has done in favor of the Iraq war. His real opinions are in line with Clinton's. He wants the troops out. he only wanted them to win a battle first and then yank them. He will pull them out. Hillary will pull them out, and Obamma will do it faster than both of them. There is no real difference in their world views. I can only hope he will not win. I can only support Hillary as she is much better then Obamma and more honest than McCain.
Plus, she is a Dem and I don't want Republicans blamed for what is going to happen. I cannot elect Benedict McCain to office and I will not participate in any effort to do so, even though it is utterly hopeless.
Coming here and screaming pro McCain rhetoric isn’t going to sell. We know his record. You would be better off just letting us have some time and space to get use to the idea that the Republicans really are going to run a 20% Conservative pro Tax hike guy as their candidate.

CPAC just made a mockery of all conservatives....
This guy is not a conservative, why is he even in the Republican Party, he sounds about as convincing as a Hillary Clinton speech. I will not follow this guy off the cliff, the Republican establishment better come up with something better that McLame’s speeches if they expect to keep the White House.
The response here is that he is a "flaming liberal" and "lying" and the "same" as Hilary whereas those comments are nonsense in the face of his record and positions.
Many conservatives are disgracing themselves with their hatred here and they need to take a deep breath and calm down. McCain did nothing more evil than to run a successful primary campaign. I didn't support him and I didn't vote for him on Super Tuesday, but now he has my support.
