Now Fox News is trying to give the impression that the applause is proof that the speech was successful.

It is over. It was awful and our goose is cooked IMHO. Not one word was believable, none of it. Just on the presentation, very stilted, forced and unconvincing. Not an ounce of inspiration.

IMO a very, very serious mistake has been made that will become very clear, very soon - Even to the McCain Bots in this Forum.

Now it begins. David Freakin Corn of the Nation has already started the attack on McCain, and I don’t even care.

What a bunch of BS. I don’t believe him. This would be like me telling the New England fans that they need to make me the starting QB if they want to win the next Super Bowl. I could promise to throw at least six TD passes every game, play on special teams, and drive the bus too. Sure it is desirable, but there is nothing in my background to say I could or would pull it off.

I missed whatever he said about immigration. What did he say (and not say) and was he booed?

WE can and will keep him in check as President. I DON’T care for McCain that much, but Clinton/Obama CANNOT and WILL NOT win the war on terror. The WOT is THE MOST important issue. NOTHING else matters if you are dead. McCain is very pro-military, and is the ONLY one who had what it takes to win the WOT.

Well, he did want me wanting more. Now let’s see what happens.

The thing is, you don’t vote, it’s a vote for Hussein or The Beast.

You write-in, it’s a vote for Hussein or The Beast.

You go third party, it’s a vote for Hussein or The Beast.

Steele’s making some good points on Fox right now about McCain and I’m listening, but once again, David Korn proves he’s a real asshat.

Those morons are the bussed in McCain drones. McCain just used CPAC to stage a PR stunt. Anyone else insulted by this?

And his name is McCain.

McCain is the opposite not the same as them.

McCain agrees on more thing with Hillary than he disagrees with, not to mention thinking so much of Kerry he wanted to run as his VP. No Thanks.

BOOOS! There are booos when he mentioned illegal immigration!!!!

Yes and he reiterated the fact that the only thing that has changed is he will secure the borders first. That will be achieved when the "consensus" is that the borders have been enforced. Once "the borders are secure" amnesty is back on the table.

OK your answer was childish and hateful and epitomizes a lot of the stupidity that is replacing honest analysis.

He hasn't changed. He still wants amnesty. AND then there's this profanity laced comment he made to Vanity Fair.

"By the way, I think the fence is least effective. But I'll build the goddamned fence if they want it." ... www.vanityfair.com/politics/features/2007/02/mccain200702 -

Many college kids from everywhere were bused in to CPAC today--McCain, Romney, Huckabee and Ron Paul supporters.

The people in that room were and are genuine conservatives. Many of them have had the rug pulled out from under them today and were reacting with hope and common decency to McCain.

Please stop demeaning real conservatives who put their money where their mouths are and came to CPAC to talk, listen and work for the betterment of our country.

No doubt Hattie. They won’t mention that the attendees were told not to boo either.

I agree, awful. And what really makes me mad is the MSM is telling me that I am the odd one. Everyone else is progressing and the little cluster of people in the corner are stupid. I guess the corner is where I belong.
