“Says I can’t win in November without conservatives.”

He’s got problems then, doesn’t he.

Sounds like the first truthful statement he’s made.

““Those criticizing this speech are not listening to what the man is saying. It’s a conservative speech defending a conservative record.”

What you’re missing is that it doesn’t matter WHAT the guy says. He’s a loathsome, back-stabbing, unstable, arrogrant jerk who should NEVER be allowed anywhere near the White House except perhaps to clean the toilets. It doesn’t MATTER if he reads off the “right” list of conservative talking points - time and time again he’s shown his real colors. Why such a large percentage of our Party sees him with blinders on is the real mystery to me. I guess, subconsciously, they’re just hoping for The Witch to win.

McCain forgot to denounce McCain/Feingold. He still can't be trusted on free speech issues. And, best I could tell he still favors the creation and maintenance of a permanent underclass in America. He's going to have to renounce, in detail, his amnesty bill.

Otherwise sounds like just another over-the-hill Republican pol.

Nothing exciting in anything he said.

That’s the one thought that keeps niggling in the back of my mind. He does say he’s going to ram it up you when he does. I’ve been trying to remember when he hasn’t and can’t come up with any. I’m hoping others weigh in.

$30 billion of a $3 TRILLION budget is 1/100 or 1% waste.

If they are good 'small' projects, they should be funded at the state or local level. This is a $400 per family gift forced on us by a Congress that mistakenly believes that Tax Revenue is theirs for the keeping or theirs for the giving. Frankly, I just wish that they each took a one million dollar kitty to keep or spend. That would cost 1/100 what the earmarks do.

With apologies to Everett Dirksen: "30 billion here, 30 billion there, pretty soon you're talking about some real money."

They’re chanting his name in enthusiasm?

I thought they were saying, "No McCain!" "No McCain!" Perhaps I misheard.

I referred to the issues McCain enumerated, which were many and totally opposite what the democrats will do to us. You are not addressing the reality of McCain’s positions on these monumental issues.

"Romney spoke first? Who allowed that to happen?"

McCain. He chose the time - 3pm - after Rush went off the air.

I am going to give him a chance. He ate some humble pie and he knows that we will hold his feet to the fire.

I am at the point to give him a chance. His speech was a big step in gaining my support.

Why should anyone’s endorsement mean anything to me? I may regard them as “good guys”, but they have their interests and goals and I have mine.

It’s a conservative speech defending a conservative record.

Really? Whose record is he defending?

It certainly isn't his. Actions speak much LOUDER than words ever will!

Tha man is a flaming liberal and he HATES conservatives, except when he needs their votes!
