That’s fine. Just don’t expect him to honor those words.
Listen to the things he absolutely opposes Hilary/Obama on, the people saying they are the same are not being logical.
Defense, judges, taxes, right to life, second amendment, ...
I may be wrong, but I can’t see McCain inspiring the conservative base to get out and vote for him.
Now he just said that he would nominate Justices like Roberts and Alito. I’m sure someone spoke to him about that.
He says bus loads of McCain supporters have arrived (in true Clintonista style) to provide the applause.
McCain seeks to turn CPAC into his personal dog and pony show (First Hand Account)
Fair enough. But how many of the people in that room other than the bused-in McCain supporters are showing any enthusiasm for him? This is a group that he’s snubbed and insulted repeatedly. I can sure tell you that as a conservative living in a place where I can see what illegal immigration is doing to a city, and also in favor of strong borders and interior enforcement, I don’t appreciate people like McCain and Graham calling me a racist.

That means we will never get the borders closed.
The problem is with that “first”. His “second” is amnesty.
Exactly!
“McCain ignores this fact to his peril.”
He doesn’t ignore it, he has contempt for it. And right now, he’s spitting in our faces by reading through a playbook of “things Conservatives want to hear.”
I don’t believe a word he says, and never will.
All the Romney supporters sure would lap it up from Mitt.
Feh. You and your feelings. LOL!
He’s promising NOT to raise taxes....except to save the planet.
Says he would appoint judges like “Alito”. Yeah right.
So you think that they wouldn’t have folks waiting in line like the ‘regular folk’?
I can’t believe this speech.
I’d have more respect for him if he stuck to his liberal agenda. To hear him flip-flopping (or downright lying)to garner votes is just sickening.
“Says I cant win in November without conservatives.”
He’s got problems then, doesn’t he.
He just lied again. He said he would put in justices like Alito. Just the other day he said he didn’t like Alito because he was too conservative.
This whole thing is a gigantic joke.
“His bussed in shillers are hooting for this fraud.”
Yup, and he’s arrogant enough to believe conservatives will buy it.
I didn’t think it was possible to dislike him any more than I did yesterday...but it is.
