McCain or Bust...Conservatives, will you vote?

Posted on 02/07/2008 12:06:38 PM PST by WiseGuyF686

No articles on here, I apologize. I just wanted to bring a little bit of opinionated discussion in at this point, now that we stand on the brink of setting American back 4-8 years...

The conservative candidates are out of race, and it looks like it's McCain or bust. How many of you will close your eyes and vote for McCrazy over Obama or Hillary, in order to do minimal damage to America over the next preidential term...and how many of you will sit home and watch the sky fall?

Personally, I'll do just about anything to keep the Clintons at bay, including vote for John McCain.

Well, my Mother went b-ball ballistic on me - when I told her that I might sit this one out. She said - what are you going to vote for that bruja or obambi? What, I said - Ma, calm down I will vote, I think?????? The mere mention of the bruja or obambi-as she calls him, sends her blood pressure boiling./Just Asking - seoul62.......

Screw McLame and his fat cat, back room Repub cronies. Going to crown a Repub nominee without the BASE? Do a little smoke-filled room magic? Screw You!

NO decent Conservative will vote for MCCain. You "Moderates" want to try to win an election without us? Go Ahead - Make My Day... (And you might want to look into those horrifically low turnout numbers to get an idea of how badly you will lose)

"What is your solution then?"

The solution now as it was in 2000, when we had a chance to have Al Gore represent "them", and in 2004 when we had a chance to have John Kerry represent "them", is to have Hillary Clinton represent "them". Their representation of themselves will be enough to bring about their end. Two years of liberal self representation was all it took in 1992. In addition, those who currently think they can force feed their own liberalisim via "Republican-Lite" candidates need to be shown that it will not be accepted by those of us who value conservatism.

Yeah, to win we have to lose.

Sorry, I cannot see how there is victory in defeat.

This isnt some small congressional office. It is President of the United States. In time of war no less.

I do not see how ground is gained, by giving up ground.

I do not see how falling into the liberal abyss, is better then hanging on to the cliff of safe conservative ground.

Yes, scratching and crawling, tooth and nail to the safe ground is necessary. But I would rather have a chance, then none at all.

"But I would rather have a chance, then none at all."

Victory is not always instant. Perhaps the drip, drip, drip of liberalism has blinded you to the fact that it will one day lead to an entire pot filled to the brim. Those of us who are focusing in on the filled pot problem need those who are "drip" types to wake up. Speeding up the drip might well do just that. If speeding the drip rate awakes enough voters, the problem will correct itself and whatever liberalism remains in the pot will evaporate. This is why I recommend reaching for the cold water faucet rather than slowly sipping on that cup of liberalized coffee that is designed to put you slowly to sleep rather than wake you up.
