McCain or Bust...Conservatives, will you vote?

Posted on 02/07/2008 12:06:38 PM PST by WiseGuyF686

No articles on here, I apologize. I just wanted to bring a little bit of opinionated discussion in at this point, now that we stand on the brink of setting American back 4-8 years...

The conservative candidates are out of race, and it looks like it's McCain or bust. How many of you will close your eyes and vote for McCrazy over Obama or Hillary, in order to do minimal damage to America over the next preidential term...and how many of you will sit home and watch the sky fall?

Personally, I'll do just about anything to keep the Clintons at bay, including vote for John McCain.

"Of COURSE they'll vote Republican, where ELSE are they going to go?"

I agree. Why participate in the farce. The RHINO’S just want us to lose slower than the Dems. Let the stuff hit the fan and we will be there to pick up the pieces and start getting America back on track again. The American people need a big wake up call.

So how did you fix your RINO problem in Arizona? I’m honestly curious.

We made an effort...even tried to have McCain recalled in 2001. Unfortunately, 9/11 occurred just months after the movement started and the issue was dropped in the name of national unity.

Since that time, the RNC has seen fit to derail the candidacy of nearly every conservative in Arizona and elsewhere. Remember what the RINO-loving RNC did to Randy Graf? That's right, they threw their support to the liberal, gay-marriage advocate, Jim Kolbe.

And here we are today. Next question?

Voting McCaine will maximize, not minimize the damage that will be done.

I’m with you. This is the first election that I can honestly say that no matter who gets in, it doesn’t matter.

They are all the same. There is no hope of conservative judges, no hope of smaller government, no hope of closing the border.

We can start a grassroots movement ala Ross Perot, or we can get some good conservatives to run for the h ouse and senate.

But at the reat the republicans are dropping in congress I think we’re looking at a dark future.

I’m writing in Ronald Reagan, it’s the only way the establishment will get the message that conservatives matter too.

I share your emotion at this point but the establishment will never even notice that you voted a write in.

That stampeding sound you hear is from the rapid rise illegals coming across, knowing that the only 3 left in the race prefer them to American citizens. So much for the drop in border crossings that’s been recently reported. Expect the numbers to go through the roof.

Anyone who stands by and lets either Hillary or Obama become President is NOT a conservative, period.

Not too mention that, if McCain is the Republican candidate, and he is supported by conservatives, we can kiss our influence over the party good-bye. Horrible choices this election, but at least we might get some serious Republican opposition in Congress to Hillary or Obama.

"I hope conservatives don't stay home just because they don't want to vote for the president."

This sounds just like the elections in the old Soviet Union, or Cuba.

Next thing you know, they will route us out of our homes under therat of prison if we don't all troop over to the polling place and cast our vote.

Yes Romney and anyone is better than McCain.

No one has done more damage to the U.S. than McCain. Look at my post and the link I posted to see what Damage McCain has done to America and the GOP just as a senator. Can you imagine what damage he can do as president? I just posted 2 examples, his mad 10 year drive for Amnesty for illegals, McCain-Kennedy and the consequences, and his McCain-Feingold. Those 2 laws alone have done more damage and will do more damage than anything else in history.

I’m writing in Tancredo’s name.

No way will I vote for the Marxist/liberal named McCain who has tried to destroy the Republican party and America by working for over a decade to give Amnesty to 30 million illegals and their families back in the 3rd world. McCain wants all these illegals to be in the U.S. so he can increase the number of democrat voters and voters for socialism so he can destroy the GOP and make us all poor. That is his plan . That’s what he wants Amnesty and poverty of all except the elite at the top of the government. He’s a Marxist. look at his record. This is just one example.

Then look at McCain-FeinGold which took away our freedom of speech. They can Use McCain-FeinGold even to shut down FreeRepublic and conservative blogs. Bush hasn’t done it but McCain or Hillary will use this unconstitutional law to crack down on blogging and talk radio, PROOF:

http://www.news.com/The-coming-crackdown-on-blogging/2008-1028_3-5597079.html

Bradley Smith says that the freewheeling days of political blogging and online punditry are over.

In just a few months, he warns, bloggers and news organizations could risk the wrath of the federal government if they improperly link to a campaign’s Web site. Even forwarding a political candidate’s press release to a mailing list, depending on the details, could be punished by fines.

Smith should know. He’s one of the six commissioners at the Federal Election Commission, which is beginning the perilous process of extending a controversial 2002 campaign finance law to the Internet.

In 2002, the FEC exempted the Internet by a 4-2 vote, but U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly last fall overturned that decision. “The commission’s exclusion of Internet communications from the coordinated communications regulation severely undermines” the campaign finance law’s purposes, Kollar-Kotelly wrote.

Smith and the other two Republican commissioners wanted to appeal the Internet-related sections. But because they couldn’t get the three Democrats to go along with them, what Smith describes as a “bizarre” regulatory process now is under way.

CNET News.com spoke with Smith about the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002, better known as the McCain-Feingold law, and its forthcoming extrusion onto the Internet.

I think it’s a little early to ask. You’re going to get a couple hundred replies that say they won’t vote or they’ll write someone in. I think that as we get a little closer to the election and have had some time for the cold fury most of us are feeling to subside we’ll see a different response.

Did the Founding Fathers hold their noses and choose the lesser evil? It would have been more convenient for them if they had. No war, none of that messy liberty stuff. Kind of like hydrocodone, only with a higher co-pay.

Now is the time for a third party that is an anti-ILLEGAL immigration party. Let McCain and the Dem candidate split the open borders vote.

I won’t vote for McCain that’s for sure. His Reform Institute is tied to so many left-wing extremist organizations that anybody saying he is better than the other side of the aisle is just flat-out lying.

I will vote only on local and state issues. My ballot will be blank when it comes to the Presidential race.

I keep saying it over and over again...We are only encouraging the GOP to give us crappy candidates if we hold our nose and vote just to keep a dem out. I am tired of people telling me to vote AGAINST someone when all I really want to do is vote FOR someone. Since I am a Conservative, and there is no Conservative in the race, I refuse to vote for President...it’s that simple.
