McCain or Bust...Conservatives, will you vote?

Posted on 02/07/2008 12:06:38 PM PST by WiseGuyF686

No articles on here, I apologize. I just wanted to bring a little bit of opinionated discussion in at this point, now that we stand on the brink of setting American back 4-8 years...

The conservative candidates are out of race, and it looks like it's McCain or bust. How many of you will close your eyes and vote for McCrazy over Obama or Hillary, in order to do minimal damage to America over the next preidential term...and how many of you will sit home and watch the sky fall?

Personally, I'll do just about anything to keep the Clintons at bay, including vote for John McCain.

I will probably write in Romney. Better to be the loyal opposition than to have to support McCain because he claims to be a Republican.

It would have no effect on how he governs, but it would increase the likelihood of a future President who is conservative.

I will vote, it just won’t be for McCain, Hillary or Obama.

But the good news for McCain, is I just passed one of those day labor centers where Illegals get picked up for work and everyone of them had a “Go McCain button.

We can fix it, because WE broke it.

Who's this WE, Kemosabe? Would that be those who've been voting for lib candidates all these years "cuz they could get elected?" Maybe what broke is that too many of us believed voting for someone who stood against our principles would "fix" anything.

I won’t vote for a lying, greedy opportunist like the Huckster, who will strip the White House bare, nor will I vote for McInsane.

As I have posted recently my position is this

What the GOP is asking us to do is marginalize ourselves. I will not do it. I will not vote for McCain. He epitomizes the GOP’s disdain for principled Conservatism. No amount of rhetoric or support from other conservatives can hide this truth, one only needs to examine McCain's actions.I don't know the intentions of Allen and Guiliani by supporting McCain. I don’t know what is on the minds of Bill Bennet and Bill Kristol and Kemp and Crist, but I do know what they are asking me to do and I will not contribute to the result. It may indeed happen but I will not marginalize myself by voting to move American Politics farther left. I will not accept it or contribute to it. I will not vote for John McCain.

The "I won't vote" crowd

The "I will vote and hound my Congressmen and Senators exhaustively for 4 years to get McCain to tow the pary line, I will not quit" crowd

I am recommending those who still have primaries coming up SWITCH PARTIES NOW to the DEMS. Vote OBAMA and then in the general write in Thompson (Hunter, or ANY OTHER Conservative)

Now, it is my effing vote and I will do with it as I d@mned well please.

Of course it is. Of course you will. But don't fool yourself: If you're doing what the enemy wants you to do, don't pretend that it serves some noble purpose.

"I know which evil is lesser."

So you think there is some fundamental difference between Socialist globablists "A" and Socialist globablists "B"?

FYI: there is no fundamental difference.

They ALL have advisors of the same stripe: Socialist one-world globalists who are intent on selling this country down the river.

Except Ron Paul, of course.

That is a Hobson’s choice. We need a conservative third party, and we need it NOW!!

I agree whole-heartedly!

Since we don’t have the votes then why waste time voting? I’ll not aid in electing a liberal from either party.
