yes, I’ll stay and fight too. You just cripple any chance of hoping to reform the party if you leave. Staying home in 2006 obviously didn’t teach anyone a lesson, it just gave us what we have today. Don’t punish conservatives down ticket we still need the Senate at +40 and we are on the defensive anyway

As others have said, the GOP left me as well. Right now I’m hoping a new alternative within the party starts to shape up, but no, it’s just about impossible to happen.

"Nothing would make McCain happier than for conservatives to leave the GOP. No. I plan on sticking around and making life miserable for the fifth column - the way they did when we were in charge." You are a man of honor and character! I am sticking in the fight too! If McCain gets in I will be hounding my Conservative Congressman, John Culberson, and US Republican Senators to LEAN on McCain to follow the principles of the party.
I'm in in for the fight! Only CINO FReepers take their ball and go home. NO WAY WILL I ALLOW HILLARY OR OBAMA INTO THE WHITEHOUSE!

Me!!!!
I hope to help John McCain to the biggest landslide DEFEAT that the United States has ever seen!
I have always said that I am a conservative who just happens to be a registered republican. No longer. The day after the primary in PA, I am changing my affiliation. Not sure what to but I can tell you it won’t be democrat!

I left years ago. McCain=kerry so while I do have strong feelings about McCain’s war record and stronger feelings against kerry they are liberals and I will probably write in Jerry Curry.
I think things will really get interesting now and strange things are going to happen.

Nothing would make McCain happier than for conservatives to leave the GOP. No. I plan on sticking around and making life miserable for the fifth column - the way they did when we were in charge.Agreed. That will be my tactic. When they call telephoning for $$$ I will say I'm am sending my money to a conservative candidate...any state, doesn't matter. I will send their unsolicited envelopes back.
Gonna nag the crap out of any Republican left in Washington.

It’s not worth switching parties. Do that and there’s no chance of nominating a winning candidate.

“Constitution Party, or a new CONSERVATIVE Party!”
With any luck your new party will be as relevant as the Libertarian party, a real force to be reckoned with in American politics.

somehow, it’s not an issue for me,, the local county registar of voters thinks I’m a non-partisan as of this latest election..
The fact I have been registered as an R for years doesn’t seem to matter..
oddly enough , the Ca GOP leadershop doesn’t seem to care either..
so its an easy decision if you will.

I already did - about three years ago. I don’t think I took full intellectual ownership of it until about six months ago though.
I now very much see the republicans compared to democrats as I see Hitler compared to Stalin.

The Republican Party left me. They decided to compete with the Democrats for the same liberal voters.
With both the Dems and Reps competing for the same liberal voters that does leave a big opening for a new political party to represent conservatives.

The latest GOP survey and contribution mailer went through the shredder, just like the last one.
Local candidates I will still support.
Nationally, the GOP is dead and I am riding another horse yet to be determined.
