How Many Freepers Will Leave The GOP?
Man50D

Romney has now bowed out of the race leaving only McCain, Paul and Huckabee. It's impossible the latter two have any chance of garnering enough delegates to win the nomination. That leaves McCain. He has slapped Conservatives in the face more than enough times by siding with Socialist Democrats on issues. It's clear McCain will take the GOP farther to the left. The question now becomes how many of you have had enough of the GOP abandoning Conservatism and will in turn leave the GOP?

I went to vote for Romney in the primary and couldn’t because I forgot I had registered as an unaffiliated many years ago. Now I’m gonna keep it that way. I’ll never vote for Obama, Clinton or McStain.

I’m not a quitter or a whiner.
I’m going to lick my wounds, suck it up and get on with life.
This too shall pass.

What makes you think the Huckster is a conservative? Huckabee is as nutty as McCain.

Wrong question. It’s how many Freeper votes will leave the GOP now that the GOP has left them.

I'm
seriously considering it.
I've got to THINK about THIS.
I STILL WON'T SUPPORT McCAIN!!!
Grab your checkbooks, and keep them closed.
NOT ONE PENNY!!!, will be our battle call.
Conservatives care about the United States so much ...
that they're willing to DEFEAT McCain to save the nation!!!
McCain needs to wake up and smell the "VILE"!!!
"Bipartisanship" Is A Dirty Word; and RUSH: "We want to defeat them"
THIS IS WAR!!!
The only LEADERSHIP we have is RUSH!!!

If McCain chooses a super-conservative VP, I will hold my nose, vote for him, and pray God to sort it out. If, as I suspect, he chooses a VP matching his own cretinous outlook, I write in Fred Thompson and then vote my local ticket straight conservative. What else can I do?

I’ve been supporting Republican candidates for years, but I’ve never been a registered Republican at any time. So I guess your question isn’t really relevant to me.

Who cares? If party membership meant anything, then the Democrats would win every election. It makes no difference, election are won on votes, and McCain is going to have win without mine.

There is no Republican Party anymore. It has been killed by independents, Democrats, and Christian-nationalists in this election. The sooner we bury it and form a new party, the better.
The way I look at it, there is no Republican on the ballot this fall. I will vote for one.

I was, but no longer am a Republican.
Creative ones out there, please start the new party soon.

I plan on sticking around and making life miserable for the fifth columnThat is a good plan until a conservative leader emerges. Unfortunately, there is no one on the horizon but there is a huge void to be filled.

While I agree with a lot of you concerning leaving the G.O.P., and also, the concept that the G.O.P. has left us, I refuse to stop fighting for the principles of conservatism and quit the party. Change back to where we want our party will only come when enough concerned Conservatives take back our party from the so-called moderate to liberals representing us now.

A lot of silly responses here.
To: Man50D
I’m ready.
Since my state votes late, and state party machinery makes it impossible to make a difference by fielding opposition to them, I see no reason to remain a Republican.
My family is gonna be really shocked, but I am going to change my party affiliation.
Are we gonna have a FALCON party?
I will still support local conservatives, no matter their party affiliation.
I would very much like to change affiliation as a FR group.
We could do it on President’s Day, but BOE’s will probably be closed.
We could also show them tough love and do it on St. Valentine’s Day.
