How Many Freepers Will Leave The GOP?
Man50D

Posted on 02/07/2008 10:39:44 AM PST by Man50D

Romney has now bowed out of the race leaving only McCain, Paul and Huckabee. It's impossible the latter two have any chance of garnering enough delegates to win the nomination. That leaves McCain. He has slapped Conservatives in the face more than enough times by siding with Socialist Democrats on issues. It's clear McCain will take the GOP farther to the left. The question now becomes how many of you have had enough of the GOP abandoning Conservatism and will in turn leave the GOP?

I have voted GOP in every single election since the middle '70s.

I'm thinking about leaving, but I'm afraid the Libertarians would not have me! :)

I don't think there are enough, and frankly, they tend to do so much purifying that they run everyone off.

Currently we are a vocal segment of a large party. We need to get them to pay more attention, but right now, they are cutting us out of the loop and don't care.

That will change. Or should I say, it is about to change.

It’s too late. The GOP wasted ALL their political capital and all that’s left on the right is APATHY.

Mc Cain will definately lost to Hillary.

That is why the msm supported him.

Once he is officially nominated they will viciously attack him 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Each newscast will have a new hit piece. All the scandles he was and is involved in will be paraded before the public constantly.

What if the RNC brokers want to lose the election and they also wanted conservatives to leave so they will indeed lose? It wouldn’t surprise me one bit.

I have a theory that he wakes up to a new day, every day. He has no core beliefs to ground him.

There is a term for that, but it escapes me for the moment.

It makes no sense whatsoever to be in a party whose fundamental flaws require that I fight with them constantly. It's like staying in a bad marriage due to a fear of the unknown.

This divorce is FINAL.

Your assumptions are incorrect. You really need to stop and think.
For that matter, we all need to stop and think. Things happen for a reason. and we are all being tested.

Politics and religion have a lot in common. Rush has insight and wisdom well worth MY time.

I think things are changing . . . alarmingly toward more overt globalist control of every facit of citizen’s lives to the extent they can manage it—which will be considerable.

And Shrillery is a chief control freak as is McChurian.

I agree that more folks are likely to come to FR . . . as long as FR is able to exist . . . What we all will be able to do besides commiserate with one another remains to be seen.

Welcome to conservatism! I hope you put your story on your home page when you get a chance. (I left the dark side, too.)
