Fox news just reported that Mark Halprin [sic], from Time Magazine, has information that Mitt Romney will be ending his campaign sometime today.
I never before realized that Hillary and Mike Huckabee have the same dentist.
Juan is no more conservative than hillary clinton....
He brought nothing to the table. Utah? hardly a swing state.
MA? Oh goodie, he could lose that by 18 points rather than 20.
He should have dropped out before Ghouliani did, in fact if Michigan had taken out the trash like they should have we wouldn’t be in this mess.
I’m talking about the long-term future of the party and this country.
Don’t vote for McCain. I can’t stand the man. I don’t care. But, I still believe that we have the building blocks within this party to move the conservative agenda.
LOL! I notice, you did not bother to even make a pretense of disputing Minn4Bush's most apt description of you...
If DUNCAN HUNTER believes Huckabee can be trusted on border/immigration and WOT issues, I would trust Duncan Hunters informed, educated judgment after he spent a year getting to know the candidates, more than I would trust the opinion of any of the posters on here.
No!! ur wrong juan is the stooge!!!!

I agree. I wasn't a huge Romney fan, by any means, but the fact that he is rich certainly was NOT a reason why I didn't like him very much. He was financial successful? Good on him, we need more of that.
But given all the people on FR who are jumping on the "ha ha, poor li'l rich boy couldn't buy the nomination" bandwagon, I can see where the anti-capitalist McCain's support on here comes from.
And what makes me a “fake conservative”? Your proclamation?
I supported Fred Thompson, was he a “RINO”? I sent money to Duncan Hunter, was he a “RINO”?
Those who believe Romney was a RINO are in the minority, even here. The “disuniting” was the failure of conservatives as a group to figure out what kind of conservative we were going to support, and supporting that candidate.
Instead, each group of conservatives decided to simply call the other groups of conservatives names like “liberals” in the bizarre belief that doing so would actually help their own candidates.
As I said, I was for Fred Thompson, but realised long ago that he was NOT going to get the social conservatives to support him enthusiastically. And sure enough, they left him, and eventually joined with Mike Huckabee.
I’m not much for the idea of “rubbing the faces” of anybody in anything, except for those who make false personal attacks PRECISELY for the purpose of “rubbing people’s noses” in things.
Everybody wanted it “their way”, and that’s why we have John McCain. Everybody played “chicken” with their own candidates, and all the conservatives ended up as road kill.
I supported the three candidates I saw as the most conservative, and figured that one of them would be left when I got to vote next week. I was wrong, they are all gone.
BTW, I was never polled for my opinion, so you can’t even say that my preference for one candidate over the other two effected anything.
I didn’t start “supporting” Romney until Fred lost the Socon vote.
Good riddance. But like a bad penny, he’ll probably show up again in four years.
No use casting pearls before swine.
He could beat Hillary but if he does it will be without my help. McCain as president is more dangerous than Hillary because Republicans will tend to roll over for all his liberal ideas. If you want amnesty for illegals McCain is the man most likely to deliver it.
Hmmm, well, I’m stuill out to lunch as to whether the GOP is worth fighting for after this stunt.
I left the GOP once before when they put up Bob Dole for Bob Dole to run in Bob Dole’s ticket.
For now I plan on letting the dust settle so I can see more clearly then decide which direction to head in...shrug
Oh, and I’ll clean my gun....
Not yet. The Constitution party's convention is mid-April I believe.
Is JCEccles associated with the Romney campaign?
we’re freakin doomed
In 2012, the election may be for President of the North American Union.
I was originally a Hunter supporter but since he got behind Huckabee I have lost respect for him. I live in AR and I hate Huckabee, I am not one of the blind Arkies who voted for Huckabee because he was their home-boy. Huckabee is the GOP equivalent of Clinton, believe it or don’t, I don’t really care. I wish all the Huckabee supporters here had him as their Gov.
