I agree: Excellent post, GeeBee...!!!

The Dems — Billary or Obamamama — will campaign against Bush and the War. It will be all over. That’s what the public has been led to want.

Paul is not my first choice. Not that that matters much as that has been the case for some time. I find him honest and straight forward. His position on our current involvement in Iraq leaves me to find him wrong headed. As the question was decided for me at our deployment. Now no other option but complete and total victory remains. After that we may discuss it’s wisdom. Anything else for this ex-soldier, dishonors the tremendous sacrifices of our brothers in harms way.

And the only way Romney can win in future is become part of the Establishment?

I think Senator McCain did a very good job. His speech was moving and reassuring. I will most definitely be voting for him in November and so will all true conservatives.

Where did you get your John McCain Kool-Aid?

He has stated many times that he will focus on securing the border first. He voted to extend the Bush tax cuts and said he will make them permanent. He voted for Alito and Roberts.

Securing the border first, then granting amnesty to 20 million lawbreakers future democrat voters and disguising it with the lie that they get to the back of the line and pay a fine...yeah that’s real conservative...I see you were wipping the Kool-Aid too!

Hi, La....I didn't refer to what you mentioned...never even thought of it. I don't know Romney's future plans any more than I know Dick Cheney's.....or what he thinks about joining or not joining "the Establishment" if he accepts V.P.

I do think, however that if Mitt takes the veep spot, I'd feel a huck of a lot better than if Huck took it, or some yo-yo that McCain might choose.

I don't think Mitt or any other noted politicians of any party sit around thinking about " the Establishment" like we do. Politicians at high levels think about the practical politics of the moment.....they don't spend their time thinking of amorphous windmills to tilt at when they have monumental decisions to make to further their ideals, their careers or their committment to their respective parties..

Calling me a Kool-Aid drinker? Here, I’ve got some other dazzling expressions for you to try out on FR: “I’ll sit this one out,” “McAmnesty is a RINO,” “He’s poked his finger in the eye of conservatives”— or maybe you could use “jump the shark” in a sentence. That will be new.

Au contraire.....I'd be happy to see him team up with McCain. It's like having insurance, especially with Mitt's experience in the field of economics and private business where McCain is terribly without practical knowledge.

Y'know, I'm just as upset about how things turned out as anyone here. I was a FRedhead, and then a Mitt supporter when there was no place to go.

But Mitt has really gotten hold of himself in speaking to the public in terms I agree with....and with a sincerity I believe.

I've put my bitterness aside as best I can and I've faced up to the reality... that McCain IS the GOP candidate and that fact will not change now.

After so many years on this forum, no one can challenge my ardent, consistent conservatism. Dealing with the cards played and doing my utmost to work for the best outcome we can hope for is what I will do.

And if the FR Wolf Pack comes loping around to nip at my heels for this, let 'em. I'll wave garlic and a silver crucifix at them and hope for the best.

The mood here at CPAC is certainly more subdued than the past several years. Lots of anti-McCain banners in the lobby.

Most interesting to note--substantial discussion about our prospects in 2012.

Good God, people... what next? Criminalize masturbation because that sperm is now a unique human life?

Get a grip, people. We have to draw the line somewhere far beyond “conception.”

I think McCain gave a good speech. The best I have ever seen him give. I am coming around to support him.

You mentioned you were a Fred supporter. I checked, going back to December 16 and I can find no evidence of support in your posts. You barely mention his name. I can’t remember you from any Fred thread and I read them all.

Did see this one:

“Fred Thompson “Surprise” Announcement today
Posted by Hoodlum91 to big’ol_freeper

“But then again, with the routine Mittwitt tactic of making personal attacks on anyone who opposes Mitt, maybe they are disruptors.”

As I’ve seen the Hunter supporters and the Fred supporters do the same thing, I’d say at least 80% of FR can be classified as “disruptors” given that definition.”

Which does not sound like any support at all. You have a strange definition of support. If you ever did support Fred, is there any evidence of it?

Good grief, this forum is full of moonbattery today.

You challenge me to prove I was a FRed head? You DEMAND evidence? It must be Perry Mason time. But I'll humor you, my dear....although I don't even know what the hell you're talking about in 90% of your post.

Freepers Ricebug and Seek the Truth and I have a photo of the three of us at a table during an official FRed Thompson we participated in at a meeting in Clearwater.

My tag line "Three Cheers for the FRed, White and Blue" went up the minute he said he was running.

I wrote endless posts supporting FRed on this forum.

I attended one of the earliest Thompson banquets when he came to my town in Florida. I ran an unbelievable gauntlet through a crowd of 600 banqueteers and several secret service guys to get to his side for his autograph, the only one he gave out that night to anybody.

I did this (in high heels) because I promised my friend Ken, a quadraplegic veteran who lives in my little town and who lurks here at FR, that I would try to get one for him come hell or high water. And I did, and I'm proud I was able to do so. And Fred was MOST gracious to me when I caught him just as he was stepping up into his tour bus to depart.

I posted a comprehensive rundown on that evening for the benefit of freepers who were eager for my impressions of Fred in one of his first public appearances anywhere. Remember, he started in Florida.

If either of my two FRedhead friends know how to post the photo of us at the Thompson meeting, holding one of his signs, go ahead....I don't know how. However even that may not satisfy my Torquemada inquisitor with such a fragrant screen name.

I rest my case....and if you need any more evidence, see my lawyer, LOL.

“Good grief, this forum is full of moonbattery today.”

These loony tunes have been posting ad nauseum for days on end now, with their nasty and vituperative bile. I seldom waste my time responding to them anymore, as they are un poco loco, if you know what I mean (throwing a little illegal alien lingo at you, lol!).
