Ideas & Agenda for the GOP Party Today
All four remaining GOP presidential candidates attend the 2008 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). Sen. John McCain (AZ), Rep. Ron Paul (TX), and Fmr. Gov. Mitt Romney (MA) address and seek conservative support at nation's largest annual gathering. Fmr. Gov. Mike Huckabee (AR) speaks at CPAC on Saturday
“Im glad you enjoyed my post; maybe you will think about it.
We now end up with a candidate far more liberal than any other that was running in the primaries.
John McCain, the Democrat in Republican clothing.”
I agree with the last part of your comment. But I have read the same comment said many, many times with Mitt Romney’s name inserted instead of McCain. They are both liberals and neither one can beat Hillary or Obama. We obviously don’t agree on this, but Mitt has not proven himself to be a conservative. He has four years to prove he is what he says he is, and if he proves in the next four years that he is the conservative that he claims to be, he’ll have my support next time. As the great Ronald Reagan once said, “trust, but verify”. Wise advise.

I hope you have never posted deogratory things about any of the other candidates ???
No unflattering pics or comments ????
The hit ‘n’ run posse/search-and-destroy wolf pack/anti-Mitt clowns are the busiest posters I have ever seen on this forum. Right now, they are feeding on Hewitt’s post-speech editorial; don’t go there.
maybe if mccain gets mitt to be his vp we will only have to hold half our noses, just one nostril, the left one of course
You always give me a giggle... thank you...:)
FWIW, I'd find that very insulting.
McCain's handlers must be worried Johnny's gonna lose his temper.
Now I'm not keen on rudeness either, but the idea letting Mccain off with a free pass really sticks in my craw.
So I'd like to offer another suggestion: Laugh. Early and often. With gusto. Every time Johnny claims to be a conservative. Every time he promises to govern that way. Laugh your heads off.
To be honest with you I don’t think McCain can win either even though he does pull the moderates, independents and Conservative Leaning Democrats... Simply do the math..
To date in the Primaries over 14 million people have voted for Obama & Hillary... All GOP candidates got was roughly 7 million...
You can’t win if you get those kind of turn out numbers in NOV... So where were the Conservatives? Where were the Republicans? for that reason alone I really believe we are doomed anyway...
Personally I hope its Hillary over Obama though because his Rhetoric scares me to death.. He is using civil rights era Rhetoric in politics...
Conservatives will be branded as the divisive party we are the cause of the division in politics and only if we would capitulate to liberal views then maybe things would get done...
and when we say we don’t particularlly agree on an issue we will be called Intolerant, branded racists and hate filled and effectively be silenced ... He already started this crap with his We can take back D.C. and he has gained Rock star status... Its Hypnosis 101 and his We is his far left liberal supporters... not the young kids that are flocking to him.
Thats how I see it anyway.
I feel that we are at a watershed moment and it is giving me an uneasy feeling
Mitt’s in it to the end? Someone on his staff said that AFTER he withdrew?
Fascinating!
George Allen is going to show up with McScampaign at CPAC!
Hmmmm.....What next, huh?
will mccain’s speech be on TV?
Oh. My.
Speaking of uneasy feelings...when is McCain scheduled to speak?
La, did you read where Leni heard someone on Mitt’s staff saying they’re still in it to the end?
Et tu, George?
“From a former Fred supporter. I guess the RINOs supported Fred then.”
Sorry, I was looking at someone else’s history and thought it was yours. Well, you still chose a RINO to support, but that’s unfortunately the only choices we have left. Me, none of the above. Sad it’s come to this.
Yeah, that’s why my tagline doesn’t say the Mitt-Mobile crashed...:)
Yet.
Looking around for live coverage.
