I’m not sure McLame could say anything that would sway me back to support him.
Daddy used to tell us the measure of a man is his deeds, not his words. That axiom has served me well for over 50 years. I don’t see a need to change, now.
If McLame hits the stage at CPAC spouting the conservative line, I’d have another bit of evidence of his duplicity, his willingness to pander, his lack of integrity.
Sorry, Ken. It’ll take more than a speech, and he doesn’t have enough time to prove his bona fides by deeds.
Redemption my arse. And your little black cat too mcnutts.
If he takes questions, he’ll blow his cork or walk out.
Will this be televised?
It will never happen! His actions are so very loud that conservatives can't hear what he is saying. He's screwed the conservative wing too many times.
No deals, no amnesty.
“Redemption” is the wrong title.
“Judgment Day” is a better fit.
> Mr. McCain needs to embrace his own party.
The CRUX of the problem!
McCain has been too busy embracing the Democrats and their patently looney social worldvision to embrace his own party.
Even if he has truly had a conservative epiphany, as Mitt Romney claims to have had, and even if he is able to sell his conversion to the conservative base of the party, the likelihood that he will win the general election is near zero.
He stands a better chance against Her Hagness, the Shrieking Shrew, than he does against the abOmanation, but his chances remain near zero at this time.
And he is very likely too old to run for a second term.
Pray that he picks a solidly conservative VP.
His speech is on the CSpan schedule.
There should be people there with signs that say..."You are not, 'my friend'."
