Even if he gives a speech that I agree with 100%, why should I believe him?

His past is too damning.

There are deal-breaker issues for conservatives, but they are few and far between. Mr. McCain will not lose the Republican base by talking about global warming ...

OUCH !

Ain't gonna happen. The man has proved to many times hes a back stabbing liar. He can make all the speeches he want but in the long run his record speaks volumes. McCain-Fiengold, McCain-Kennedy and McCain-Lieberman. Anti-freedom of speech, PRO-ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT, and Higher Taxes. How is this conservative? any of it? it isn’t.

I can’t wait to hear his speech. I just am trying to see him trying to convince us and I am not sure he has it in him to do it. I think he might look to rehearsed or forced. He will amaze me if he can do this, but I have little faith that he can. I am more excited about the people in the audience’s reaction. I am so psyched to see this. It will be a very interesting time. I wonder if he will cry...lol.

McCain wouldn’t be going to CPAC if he wasn’t prepared for it.

If McCain wants "respect" from Conservatives:

Romney is representative of many Conservatives. I will be looking at how much "respect" McCain gives Romney.

I expect McCain to get a pretty cold reception from CPAC and deservedly so. He can’t convince us that he is a real conservative by attending this convention with his past record.

What does a 70 something “esteemed colleague” want to be president for? I’m telling you he has no intention of becoming president. He absolutely intends to lose. He’s doing this to make sure the democrats win. It’s all part of a carefully worked out strategy with that phoney evangelical (best friend of Bill and Hillary Clinton too!) Huckabilly blocking votes for Romney.

When he gets the nomination that’s when the fun begins. The press is going to throw all his baggage at him. Keating 5, Vietnam collaboration, mafia connections, etc...McCain was years ago and again rises as the Manchurian candidate..but his intention is to make sure Hillary who has her own big negatives wins the election. That’s all this is...to ensure she becomes the “first woman president.

It all amazes me. But America will get what America deserves. A tabloid presidency. A socialist state. Run by George Soros and big corporations. The little people paying their fair share for the big issues of our time like the fake Y2K Global warming hoax...

It's really not McCains' consistent lying and backstabbing that is the problem......its' those who support his consistent lying and backstabbing!

The quest for power , sure brings out the souless.

For what it is worth I think he will go there and poke conservatives in the eye, get booed and walk away very happy man. He will then find the first TV and tell the country that he isn’t afraid to take on his party for what he wants. Don’t think he feels he needs us as he considers the right wing to be a small loud group with little or no influence.

The sad thing is, that McCain’s ego won’t let him believe, that we won’t lick his boots if he is the nominee.

BTW, I am wondering just where all his support is coming from????

What McCain says means nothing. He wants votes.

Nothing he says at CPAC will change my opinion of him.

He is an arrogant liar.

“He needs to stick to four basic themes.”

1. Lie about the economy

2. Lie about the border and immigration

3. Lie about carbon taxes and MMGW

4. Lie about CFR and CFR

Like,, what would I expect him to say here?

All that he has done,, all the trouble he has caused,, the amnesty bill, McCain/Feingold, wanting to switch parties, the betrayals and everything else should all be forgotten because of some speech he gives tonight?

I really liked what a caller said yesterday on Rush. She said something like, "These RINO's expect us to show more party loyalty than they have ever shown!"

It was an excellent point!

McCain continues to display arrogance. He stated before Tuesday he was the "assumed nominee." I read yesterday on some site he made the comment we need to just "get used to it" in reference to him being the nominee!

What's he going to be like once elected?

Frankly, I hope it’s a rout, and he goes down to a well-earned defeat, in favor of a better candidate. Hope the attendees don’t forget the past like Dem fools, nor leave their spines at home.
