Darn global warming!

We had snow for the third time this year in Tokyo, and more is on the way.

Tokyo gets snow maybe once every two or three years.

since the average temperature is rising, even though some places are getting colder, I wonder where all that extra heat is going?

SNOWFALL IN OMAN

Man-made Climate Change is NOT off the hook here. With what's now five (5!) cut internet cables, apparantly the normally abundant warm supply of bits and bytes from the World Wide Web, has allowed things to cool to the point of causing middle east snow. Al is still to be blamed, being responsible for BOTH global climate change AND the internet.

The satellite and early global temperatures measurements for January 2008 show last month was well below average and there has been a very pronounced cooling over the past year.

The satellite measurements show a decline of 0.6C over the past year.

The (early yet) global land-based temperature records show a decline of 0.7C from December to January.

These are huge declines and could even be compared to the increase in temperatures from 1900 to 2006 which was about 0.7C. One could argue we lost all of the global warming increase over the past year/month.

La Nina is the likely cause and the global warmers do not yet account for how El Ninos and La Ninas affect global temperatures and especially long-term global temperature trends.
