I haven't had any vodka in at least six years.

It doesn't help, but you don't care...

I don't? Wow.

"I think Obama will be their guy.....

Mccain would not have a chance against him.... LANDSLIDE"

Obama would make McCain's old age and nastiness, more apparent. And McCain would lose BIG TIME.

While it would be a far closer race with Hillary, Hillary would also beat McCain.

hillary has no chance. The GOP rejected Romney big time despite all the bluff and bluster from all the mittbots. Republicans in border states still went for mccain.

You’re afraid mccain might actually win.

“If my candidate could lend himself 35 million,”

Wasn’t that reported for back in December 1st? What is the total now?

Thank you, evangelicals for votin’ fur the Christian, and thank you aging dolts for voting for the war hero.

Identity politics will be the death of us all.

Sure. Consider this: of the six states that Romney has won today, one is his "home" state of Massachusetts; three of the five five remaining are among the top ten US states with either the highest proportion or number of Mormons (Utah, Montana, Colorado). Of the other three states Romney won previously, one was his "home" state of Michigan, and the other two are among the top ten US states with the highest proportion of Mormons (Nevada, Wyoming).

If you want to blame Romney's losses on identity politics, then it's fair game to discuss the liklihood that his wins are also related to identity politics.

With a what looks like a landslide victory in November for a Clinton/Obama victory, you can stick a fork in the USA.

You can kiss victory in Iraq and Afghanistan goodbye. Al Qaeda will look upon the Democratic landslide as their victory.

Need I say more?

“Casting their lot in with a flip flopping MA liberal while virtually ignoring a rock ribbed Reaganite to death was looking out for me? Who knew.”

you dont know, of course. The race was down to McCain, Huck and Romney for some time, and the smart conservative choice was ROmney:
1. Romney is not a liberal. And you overstate his flipflopping comparing with similar from Huck and McCain.
2. There was no rock ribbed Reaganite in the race.
if you mean 1% Hunter that doesnt count, these guys talked up the much more viable Thompson and that wasnt enough.

So, is our best choice now a dimocrat president and 41 Republican senators who will oppose whatever a Dem. wants?

You are assuming you will have 40 Senators. Based on turn, money and organization, it looks like the GOP is going to face a 1980s style massacre in Nov. To challenge all that money and organization, the Republican's Establishment brilliant plan is to be "Democrat Lite".

Good luck firing up Conservatives to work their butts off to offset the Democrats advantages when the GOP candidate is the 1st Republican Candidate in 30+ years who is promising a Tax HIKE if elected!

We were doing on FR what the GOP as a whole should have been doing. Arguing the merits/demerits amongst the CONSERVATIVE candidates and giving short shrift to the flip flopping phonies.

Take that back. :)

(I smiled, but yes I think you’re wrong)

Hunter would have demolished either Dem.

Mitt could have.

None of the others, have a change.

Might as well start a new party. Right now.

Wow, months after months of bashing Romney... Gosh, you must feel all warm and fuzzy that Romney only won 7 states and McCain won 9 and beat him in Cali.

As I've said all along...his wishy-washy stance on social issues (3 stances on forcing businesses to hire alternative sexual minorities in 13 years; 3 stances on embryonic stem cell research in 5.5 years; multiple, multiple stances on abortion in 13 years)...

...his "C" economic rating for his guv years from The Cato Institute...

... the fact that Massachusetts turns out POTUS candidate loser after POTUS candidate loser because it's a liberal candidate factory--Teddy Kennedy, Michael Dukakis, John Kerry, Mitt Romney

...all along with the fact that he represents a country club corporate tennis racket that less than 30 years ago had a sign on its door, "No blacks or Native Americans allowed."...which would have been a disastrous non-viable, unelectable GOP candidate being pushed forth in the "aura" of Obama (who pulled in $32 million for January alone)...

(I actually think that not only has the GOP been saved a merciless MSM shaming, but the LDS Church would have been on its heels by the time the MSM & Dems would have gotten done in November painting it "racist red"...God actually showed media mercy)

Well W gave it back in the second term.

And you, of course, were out there fighting to keep control?

Reagan also lost Congress in his second term. That's the usual scenario. Fact is that Bush lost less than would have been expected from historical precedent.

"Starting a realistic new party, from scratch?"

Why not just steal an existing one? Like maybe the CP or LP. Sure worked for the Rats that stole the GOP. I am certain there are enough pissed off GOP conservatives to take either party without breaking a sweat.

The depth of religious bigotry in this country against Mormons is absolutely sickening. Congratulations, bigots! Your prize is Juan McCain!

Bah! Next time try a Conservative Mormon... an Orrin Hatch or something... You will find a much better reception. A lot of what you are bawling about is the Northeastern RINO part.

Rule number one: Yankee RINOs never, never win the South, and without the South, no Republican can win.

If Romney pulls out, we have 4 candidates for open borders. Three are avowed gun grabbers. All four have the ethics of an alley cat. The only one with military experience graduated at the bottom of his class and crashed 6 airplanes. None of them has any concept of how to meet a payroll or any concept of economics beyond tax and spend.

Romney didn't achieve his level of financial success by pissing away money needlessly. It's time to leave the run to the two crap weasels...and order that copy of Rosetta Stone in Spanish. You're going to need it to get along in Juan McAztlan's new world. Buy a good semi-auto rifle and plenty of ammo while it's still legal.

No, they are killed off by US. Pragmatism and electability at it's finest.
